Friday, January 8th

Spanish Niño Time in SE PDX. This drop-in bilingual playgroup is geared toward ages 0-5 years old, and combines songs, stories and play as a means of exploring the Spanish language. Friday, 10:45-11:30 am. $5.
Legos at Gregory Heights Library in NE PDX. Lego enthusiasts from 5 to 11 years old can socialize, get creative, and work on projects with other budding builders. Friday, 4-5 pm. Free!
Free First Friday at The Children's Museum in SW PDX. Let your little ones explore Building Bridgetown, the Clay Studio, Treehouse Adventure and all of the other interactive exhibits at the museum. Friday, 4-8 pm. Free!
Saturday, January 9th
Preschool Sensory Time at Woodstock Library in SE PDX. This family storytime is open to everyone, although it is especially welcoming for children on the spectrum and those looking for a smaller and more intimate library environment. Saturday, 9:15-10 am. Free!
Kids Mornings Skate at Oaks Park in SE PDX. Start the weekend with healthy family fun at Kids' Morning Skate. Session features kids' choice music, skate games and a free group lesson!10 and younger and their families only please. Saturday, 10:30 am-noon. $6.50 per child, one adult free per child's paid admission. 
Imagineering: Pit Crew at North Portland Library in N PDX. Kiddos in grades 2 and up are invited to build their own cars and then participate in a series of exciting challenges. Saturday, 11 am-noon. Free!
Open Saturdays at Pearson Field Aviation Center in Vancouver. Check out the flight simulator lab, vertical wind tunnel, glider-building station, historic airplanes and a variety of educational programs for all ages. Saturday, 1-5 pm. Free!
Sunday, January 10th
Origami Circle in SE PDX. All ages are welcome to learn about origami and practice creating all sorts of projects including animals, shapes and flowers. Sunday, noon-1 pm. Free!
Family Game Night at POA Cafe in North PDX. Families are encouraged to play along with classic board games like Chess, Monopoly and Scrabble, as well as modern choices like Disruptus, Juxtabo, Spot It and more. Sunday, 3-6 pm. Event host requests that participants purchase $7 worth of food or beverages at the event.
