Friday, January 15th

Bookapalooza at Fort Vancouver Regional Library in Vancouver. Peruse a gigantic selection of used books from all genres and take home your favorites for only $0.50-$1.00 each. Thursday-Saturday, 9 am-6 pm. Free admission, books for purchase. 

Belmont Builders at Belmont Library in SE PDX. Building supplies such as Legos, K'NEX and more will be provided for participants of all ages to get build, play and get creative with. Friday, 12:30-1:30 pm. Free!
Honey Heart Kids Yoga at Yoga Shala in N Portland. Geared toward ages 3-6 years old, this class combines yoga, social skills games and mindfulness techniques. Friday, 5:15-6 pm. $12. 
Saturday, January 16th
Music from Latin America at North Portland Library in N PDX. All ages are invited to enjoy the Latin American folk music of Grupo Condor, featuring Spanish, African and Native American influences. Learn about each culture's contributions to the music and the instruments used in creating it.  Saturday, 11 am-noon. Free!
Opening Day of Geronimo Stilton: Mouse in Space at Oregon Children's Theatre in SW PDX. Villains are threatening New Mouse City and the only hope is our reluctant hero, Geronimo Stilton. In this “enormouse” adventure, Geronimo is launched into space on a top-secret mission to save the day.  Based on the wildly popular book series featuring Geronimo and his pals, Thea, Trap, and Benjamin, this story will rocket your family to another world. Saturdays and Sundays. Show times vary. $14-$32. 
Martin & Music - Martin Luther King Celebration in Lake Oswego. A gospel choir led by an R&B legend will perform followed by a two-man show featuring an accomplished film actor and a Broadway musician. Suitable for all ages. Saturday, 7-9 pm. Free!
Sunday, January 17th
Preschool Story and Stroll at Tryon Creek State Natural Area in SW PDX. Geared toward children ages 2-6 and their families, this event combines outdoor exploration, art, literature, movement and play. Sunday, 10-11:15 am. Free!
The Cultured Chef Book Event at A Children's Place in NE PDX. Discuss food from around the world and prepare a tasty treat with the authors of The Cultured Chef. All ages are welcome. Sunday, 2-3 pm. Free!

Hey, we were there at Martin & Music - Martin Luther King Celebration in Lake Oswego! It was free but the whole celebration was amazing!
