Friday, November 6th 
​MICAH AND ME Toddler Dance Party at A Children's Place Bookstore in NE PDX. All ages are invited to dance and listen to these local musicians (and stay-at-home dads) play fun and familiar tunes. Friday, 9:30 am. Suggested donation of $5. 
​Artisan Market Holiday Magic 2015 in SW PDX. Browse the eclectic variety of handmade and local goods offered by Portland's own artisans and makers. Friday and Saturday. Hours vary. Free!
​First Friday Flick in North Plains. Families are invited to come together at the Jessie Mays Community Center to enjoy popcorn and a showing of Pixar's Inside Out. Friday, 6-8 pm. Free!
Saturday, November 7th
​Portland Wordstock in SW PDX. This festival will include author discussions, activities for readers of all ages, a book fair, pop-up readings and concerts, a beer tent and local food trucks. Saturday, 9 am-6pm. Ages 17 and younger are free. $15 for adults. 
Silly Miss Jeanie's Storytime in SE PDX. Bring your kids to enjoy songs, stories, fingerplays and rhymes performed by a local children's librarian, musician and early-literacy advocate. Saturday, 10-10:45 am. $3. 
Enchanted Sleeping Beauty in Hillsboro. Journey Theater Arts group presents this "family day" performance of their own twist on a familiar fairytale. Saturday, 7-9 pm. Tickets are $10 in advance and $14 at the door. 
Sunday, November 8th
Princess Sophia Storytime at Amazing Fairytale Parties in SE PDX. Princess Sophia herself will delight little ones with a storytime and sing-along, as well as dancing, games and balloon animals. Sunday, 11 am-noon. $12. 
Family Open Play in SW PDX. Geared toward ages 0-5, this fun and safe play space offers a wide variety of equipment for children to explore. There is also a kitchen area for ages 3-5 that includes sensory materials, manipulatives and crafts with smaller working parts. Sunday, noon-1:30 pm. $5 per child, $2.50 for additional siblings.
