Weekend Warriors: February 6-8

Friday, February 6th

Baby Boot Camp Grand Opening. Celebrate the Grand Opening of Baby Boot Camp SE PDX and Happy Valley with a free demo class. Bring your stroller, your little one(s), and get ready for a great workout. Please RSVP. Free. Friday 9:30-11am. 

Open Studio at the Portland Child Art Studio in NW PDX. Paint, draw, sculpt and have a great time getting creative and messy. $10/child. Friday 10am-1pm and 2-5pm. Read our review of this amazing studio here

Clowns Without Borders Benefit Show. This show incorporates physical comedy, juggling, acrobatics, music, and more. All proceeds benefit Clowns Without Borders-USA's work of relieving trauma through laughter in areas of crisis around the world. $9-30. Tickets can be purchased in advance. Friday 7:30-9:30pm. 

Zen Shorts in SE PDX. It's the opening weekend of Zen Shorts, Tears of Joy Theatre's puppet production extravaganza featuring over 30 puppets, video projections, and original songs. Best for grades K-5. $15-22. Friday 7:30-9pm. 

Saturday, February 7th

Raptor Road Trip at Kruger's Farm. Explore Sauvie Island in search of magnificent eagles, hawks, and falcons. $10/vehicle. Saturday 9am-2pm. 

Body Worlds: Awesome Anatomy at Capitol Hill Library. Test your reflexes, make an inflatable lung and have fun with some ooey-gooey activities. Free tickets available 30 minutes in advance. Saturday 10:30-11:30am. 

Once Upon a Time Family Theatre Presents The Golden Goose in SE PDX. After the show, kids are invited to stay for a crafts class. $1 for children, $2 for adults, with an additional fee for the craft. Saturday 12-1pm. 

Field Games in SE PDX. Kids of all ages can participate in elbow tag, sharks and minnows, and many other silly outdoor games. Free. Saturday 1-3pm. 

Dive-In Movie in Aloha. Swim while watching the Disney movieCars. Free with price of admission to the pool ($3.50-$4.50). Saturday 5-7pm. 

Sunday, February 8th

Small Group Special Needs Movement & Mindfulness in NE PDX. Small group classes incorporate social skills instruction intended to help kids develop successful peer-to-peer interactions and a stronger sense of self. $30/class. Sunday 10-11am. 

Family Stroll in Sherwood. Venture out with a refuge naturalist for a free nature walk around the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge. Free. Sunday 2-3:30pm.
