Weekend Warriors: December 26-28

Friday, December 26th

Extended Open Swim Hours at PP&R Pools. PP&R is offering additional open swim times to keep your kiddos occupied during the break. See schedule for all the details. 

FROGZ in SE PDX. As our reviewer stated: "FROGZ is more a series of performances, with dance, costumes, lighting and puppetry as the common denominator." Check out PDX Kids Calendar's review here. $17.50 and up. Friday 12-1pm and throughout the weekend. 

Portland Youth Philharmonic's Concert-At-Christmas in SW PDX. PYP's Concert-at-Christmas is a festive holiday tradition for the whole family featuring all four PYP ensembles and an alumni orchestra. $22-56. Friday 7:30pm. Check out PDX Kids Calendar's preview here.

Saturday, December 27th

Grandparents Day at the Craft Factory. Craft Factory is offering a two-for-one craft special for grandparents joining their grandchildren today. $12. Saturday 9am-1pm drop-in.

YogaFamily in NE PDX. Embark on a yoga-inspired adventure using storytelling and imagination. For ages 2 and up. $10 for one child and one grownup. Saturday 9:30-10:30am.

Penny the Puppeteer Performs in NE PDX. Penny performsSnowbrite, the story of a snow girl who magically comes alive. $5/person. Saturday 10:30-11:30am. Doors open at 10am. 

Portland Spirit's Cinnamon Bear Cruise. This is your last chance this season to to enjoy this whimsical holiday tradition. $22 children, $30 adults. Please book in advance. Saturday 10am-12pm. You can read PDX Kids Calendar's review of the Cinnamon Bear Cruise here

Toddler Storytime at the End of the Oregon Trail. Bring the kiddos to a free story time at the Official End of the Oregon Trail Interpetive Center. Afterwards, stay and explore the Center (admission required), which features many hands-on kid-friendly exhibits and pioneer dress up. Storytime is free. Saturday 10:30-11am.

Simple Science and Math Fun in Beaverton. Enjoy activities like potato stamping and an ice experiment. Best for ages 2-8. Saturday 2-3pm, drop-in.

Sunday, December 28th

Northwest Children's Theater Presents Mary Poppins. The beloved classic film turned Broadway musical hit comes to NWCT. Read PDX Kids Calendar's review here. $18-22. Sunday 12-2:45pm and 4-6:45pm.

ZooLights at the Oregon Zoo. Just one more week to catch the magical ZooLights! $7-10. 2 and under free. Sunday beginning at 5pm and throughout the week.
