Friday, September 12th
Mt. Angel Oktoberfest. Enjoy, music, dancing, food, cars, and much more at this annual event. Most events are free. Thursday-Sunday, all day.
Music with Miss. SaraMag at Rust Coffee Lounge. Sing, dance, and move with this dynamic performer. ASL is incorporated into the show. $5 suggested donation. Friday 10-11am.
Storytime at Pie Spot with Olive & Dingo. Don't miss stories, songs, and balloon creations with this zany duo. $5 suggested donation. Friday 3-4pm.
La Luna Nueva: Andean Dreams at Milagro Theater. A representation of the Andean world with music and dances inspired by the Quechua literature of the ancient Inca Empire. $12 children under 12; $23 adults. Friday-Sunday 7:30pm.
Swift Watch at Chapman Elementary. It must be fall! Swift watch is on. Check out this not-to-be missed event every evening in September. Free. Begins one hour before sunset.
Saturday, September 13th
Stewardship Saturday at Columbia Springs in Vancouver. Have fun and help out! Projects may include gardening, painting, trail maintenance, and more. Please sign up to participate. Free. Saturday 9am-1pm.
DIY Terrarium Day at Birds & Bees Nursery. Stop by to make a terrarium using tropicals, succulents, or airplants. $10 and up. Saturday 10am-6pm.
Belmont Street Fair. SE Belmont between 33rd and 39th will be closed to traffic and the streets filled with lively sights that can only be seen on Belmont. The Historic Belmont Fire House will be open for free tours, plus games, pony rides, bouncy course, and more! Free. Saturday 11am-7pm
Kids Storytime with Zoe Burke at Powell's in Beaverton. Author Zoe Burke will read from her book Charley Harper's What's in the Coral Reef. Free. Saturday 12:30-1:30pm.
The Zoo Box Release Party at Green Bean Books. Welcome authors Ariel Cohn and Aron Nels Steinke for the release of their picture book, The Zoo Box. Free. Saturday 2pm.
Fourth Annual Harvest Festival in Tualatin. Live music, hay mazes and hay rides, face painting, and more. Proceeds go to support local women's shelters and other causes. $5-10/person. Saturday 3-8pm.
Sunday, September 14th
Vintage Toy Show and Swap in Vancouver. Check out thousands of retro toys and games, plus free superhero dress up booth. Kids are free; general admission is $3. Sunday 8:30am-3pm.
Honey Heart Family Yoga Class in SE PDX. Use song, movement, and story to explore an all-ages yoga practice. This is a donation-based class. Sunday 2-3pm.
