WEEKEND WARRIORS - AUGUST 14-16, 2014

Friday, August 15th
Music with Miss SaraMag at Rust Coffee Lounge. Sing and dance along with Miss SaraMag as she sings, plays the piano, and incorporates percussion and American Sign Language. $5 suggested donation. Friday 10-11am.
 
Family Yoga at Green Bean Books. Using the power of yoga, storytelling, and your imagination, embark on a yoga-inspired magical adventure. Free! Friday 3:30-4:15pm.

En Taiko in Clackamas. Listen to the sounds of Japanese drumming, then try it yourself! Free! Friday 6:30pm.
 
Flicks by the Fountain in Beaverton. This week's movie will be Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 (PG). Pre-movie, enjoy a short film from Beaverton School District's student film contest. Free! Pre-movie entertainment begins at 7pm; movie at dusk.  
 
Saturday, August 16th
Multnomah Days Street Fair. Enjoy live music, over 100 vendors, food, and an expanded kid zone (with us!). Kids activities will include art activities, a climbing wall, and lots more. More info below. Free! Saturday 9am-5pm.  
 
Seaport Celebration in North Portland. Join the fun at this family-friendly, fun-filled day of adventure at one of Portland's working marine terminals. Enjoy live music, entertainment, interactive displays and demos, and much more. More info below. Free! Saturday 10am-4pm.  
 
Green Neighborhoods Festival in North PDX.  Learn about greening your neighborhood at this kid-friendly fair, which includes organic food, crafters, musicians, and a kids activity area.  Free!  Saturday 11am-5pm.  
 
Kids Storytime at Powell's. Join for a reading of Rupert Can Dance by Jules Feiffer. Free! Saturday 11am. 
 
Hawthorne Evening Market. Check out this new family-oriented neighborhood farmers market. After getting your veggies, stop by the kids tent, which has different activities every week. Saturday 4-7:30pm.  
 
Sunday, August 17th
Family Day at the Clackamas County Fair. Check out all the fun of the county fair at a discount. All children 12 and under get free admission with one paid adult. Sunday 7am-8pm.
 
Kids Day at Woodstock Farmers Market. Bring the whole family for delicious food, kids music, and free kids activities including crafts, live animals, balloons with Olive and Dingo, face painting, and Mr. Lizard at 11 am.  Free!  Sunday 10am-2pm. 
 
Hawthorne Street Fair. This annual street fair includes lots of kid-friendly entertainment, including Lorna Miller, Penny's Puppets, Mr. Ben, stilt walkers, circus lessons, birds of prey exhibit, and more. Come by and say hi - we will be there too!  More info below. Free! Sunday 11am-5pm.
 
First Annual Bollywood Family Dance at Director Park. Activities include Bollywood dance lesson, climbing wall, henna rub-on tattoos and more! Free! Sunday 2-5pm.
