Impulse! in NE PDX. OCT's hilarious student improvisational troupe, take the stage to deliver fast-paced comedic scenes and games - all based on audience suggestions. No scripts, no costumes, and no idea what's about to happen! Recommended for ages 7 and up. Thursday, Friday & Saturday 7pm. Tickets $10 in advance / $12 at the door.

Friday Storytime + Craft Activity at The Craft Factory. Now you can listen to picture books while crafting the morning away. Friday 10:30am. Storytime craft special: $5 for any two ornamental crafts.

Red Yarn at Warehouse Cafe. Weaving together energetic live music, puppetry and storytelling, Red Yarn teaches positive values while reviving American folklore for a younger generation. Audiences will sing, dance, act, and experience the joy of community during this interactive show. Friday 10-10:45am. $5 donation.

Brad Creel & the Reel Deel at Mississippi Pizza. Brad Creel & the Reel Deel play traditonal country standards and their own brand of funny folk rock. OH and they will be clearing tables to have a dance contest for the kids. Friday 6-8pm. Free!

Dragon Theater Puppets at Playdate PDX. Charming puppet shows every Friday night. Friday 6:30pm. Free with admission.

Model Trains at Lake Oswego Library. Members of the Beaverton Modular Railroad Club will set up model trains and tracks for all to enjoy. Club members will also be on hand to share their model train knowledge and answer questions. Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 1pm-6pm. Free!

Sasquatch Day! at Child's Play. Enter the Sasquatch Drawing Contest. >Win a prize in the Sasquatch Bean Bag Toss. Big Foot coloring pages & activity sheets. Saturday 10am-noon. Free!

Sellwood-Moreland's St. Patrick' Day Festival and Parade. Carnival games, food, bag pipes, live music, Irish hounds, prizes, beer garden, cake walk, marching band, 5K fun run, Irish dances and more family-friendly fun! Saturday 11am-8pm Free!

Browsing for Beavers at Tillamook Forest Center. They’re swimming; they’re gnawing. Tillamook forest’s beavers are hard at work! Beaver played a key role in exploration and settlement of the west, and Oregon in particular, as it was a primary target for fur trappers and traders. This fun interactive talk for the whole family will explore how beavers are uniquely equipped to live in Northwest Oregon. Saturday 11:30am & 1:30pm Free!

St. Patrick's Day at the Beaverton Farmers Market. Featuring Irish music by renowned musicians Hanz Araki, Seamus Egan, Cary Novotny and Joe Trump, intricate performances from the Molly Malone Irish Dance Troupe, and traditional Irish dance and music called by Sam Keator of S & A Irish Entertainment. 1-1:30 pm. Saturday noon-1:30pm.

St. Patrick's Day Fun at Imagine: Play in McMinnville. Make a paper shamrock, pose in the themed photo booth, and hunt for hiding leprechauns. Then, climb in the boat, bi-plane or train, jump and slide in the bounce house, and explore the train table, puppet theater, campsite and more! Sunday 10am-2:30pm. $4 age 0-2, $6 age 3+

St. Patty's Day Fun at the Tram. Join the fun at the bottom of the Tram for St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Free activities include face painting, balloon making, coloring Tram T-shirts (with $10 shirt purchase) and St. Patty’s Day puzzles and crafts. Tram tours available with purchase of $4 tram ticket, children 6 & under ride for free). Sunday 10am-2pm.

Portland Youth Philharmonic Cushion Concert at the Zoo. Bring your little ones and your cushions to this inspiring, affordable, 45-minute concert that's designed for children aged 2-8 and is fun for the whole family. PYP's Young String Ensemble. Conducted by Carol Sindell. 12:30 PM & 2:30 PM. Arrive a half-hour early for an "instrument petting zoo" and try instruments in the string family. Sunday 12:30 and 2:30. $10 adults, $5 kids, $20 family of 4 (Indoor Concert. Zoo Ticket Not Required).

Mountain Park Family Concerts present Mo Phillips and Red Yarn at Mountain Park Rec Center. Get your dancing shoes on for a very special afternoon with two local family champions. Both Mo and Red will be playing, each with their bands to guarantee a whole mess of dancing and having fun. Sunday 4pm. $5

Love the weather forecast for this weekend! A great way to both have fun with the kiddos and get great FRESH air is that St. Patrick's Day Parade... looks like a blast!
