Ladybug Nature Walks at Kelley Point Park. Perfect for preschoolers and parents who want to explore nature in Portland's parks with trained preschool naturalists! Children are guided along the trails of various parks in all corners of the city by an Environmental Educator. Walks go at just the right pace and introduce children to forests, water, insects, plants and animals. Ages 2-5 with grown-up. Stroller friendly. Friday 10am. $4/child.

Lori Henriques in Concert in Lake Oswego. Award winning musician Lori Henriques performs jazz music for the whole family. Friday 7pm. $5 suggested donation.

Family Friday Concerts at The Community Music Center. MT Duo performs. Concert start at 7:15 pm and run about an hour (no intermission). Admission is free, with suggested donation of $5 per person or $15 for a family. Doors open at about 6:45 pm.

Hike It Baby Meet-up and Hike at the Bull and the Bee in SE. Meet at the store at 11am and the group will head out around the Sellwood/Moreland neighborhood. Allow for 90 minutes for the walk. Saturday 11am-12:30pm. Free!

Cascade Festival of African Films Family Day at PCC Cascade. Khumbais an animated adventure comedy about a half-striped zebra who is blamed for the lack of rain by the rest of his superstitious herd. He decides to embark on a quest to earn his stripes. Khumba ventures beyond the fence, encountering a colorful range of characters.
Khumba begins to learn that diversity is essential for survival and that one's difference can, in fact, be one's strength. Saturday 2pm. Free!

Harlem Globetrotters at Moda Center. The world famous Harlem Globetrotters have been thrilling families and millions of fans for 88 years, all the while innovating the game in exciting new ways. Saturday 2pm and 7pm. $18 and up.

Dance Party at Echo Theater. It is a rockin' dance party for the whole family with hula hoops, disco lights, the Zig Zags and Greasy Kid Stuff. Sunday 3-5pm. $5/person.

Mr. Hoo's CD Release Party at Village Ballroom. Local children's musician Mr. Hoo, one half of the children's band The Alphabeticians, has released his first solo CD, Metamorphosis, and is celebrating with a big party! Joining Mr. Hoo will be many of your favorite local children's musicians, including Tallulah's Daddy, and Mr. E (the other half of The Alphabeticians). Sunday 4-5:30pm. Tickets are $5 in advance, available through BrownPaperTickets.com. If still available, tickets will be $7 at the door. Babies are free.
