Weekend Warriors - January 24-26, 2014

Story Time with Olive and Dingo at Pie Spot. Not your average Story Time - full of comedy, songs, stories, balloons and laughter. Sure to get the jumpers jumping, the dancers dancing, wigglers wiggling and the noise makers cooing. Friday 3-5pm. $5/child for balloons and entertainment.

Dizzy Castle Cosmic Nights. Dizzy Castle Cosmic night. Come party at the castle every Friday from 5pm-9pm! Dizzy the Dragon's dance party is an unforgettable experience with lasers, mirror lights, black lights, fog machines, strobe lights and much more! ChocolateFest at Convention Center. ChocolateFest promises you the opportunity to sample, taste, savor, and delight in some of the finest chocolate from the Northwest and beyond. Friday, Saturday & Sunday. $12 adults, $8 students, $7 children 5-7.

Cooperative Preschool Fair in SE PDX. Come meet representatives from several Portland area cooperative preschools and Parent Child Preschools Organization (PCPO). Find out if a cooperative preschool is the right fit for your family. Saturday 10am-1pm. Free!

Audubon Society Kids Day. Free activities and projects including animal tracking, archery and many nature-based art activities. Saturday 11am-3pm. Free!

Riddles, Sea Turtles and Pirates, Ahoy! at Central Library. Join Portland's own sister/brother team of Laura and Robert Sams for a hilarious, ocean-filled, pirate-filled, music-filled program. Sing with the one-legged pirate! Look for underwater animals! Saturday 2-3pm. Free!

The Doubleclicks & Molly Lewis Family-Friendly Show. You're never too young to rock out, geek style! Things From Another World (TFAW) is proud to welcome The Doubleclicks and Molly Lewis for a show the entire family can enjoy. This is an all-ages event, so pack up the kids for an afternoon of geeky tunes and comic books. Saturday 3-4:30pm. $5 per person/$10 per family.

Mochitsuki Community Fair at Scottish Rite Center. Celebrate the Japanese New Year. Pound the rice, enjoy performances from Portland Taiko, Takohachi, and more. Try calligraphy, origami and more. Sunday 11am-4pm. $12 adult, $9 student, $5 ages 4-12, free ages 0-3.

Rainy Day Family Concert at Village Ballroom. It's raining, it's pouring... it's time to get up and dance! Join the Rainy Day Family, a new entertainment collective formed by your favorite local children's performers: Red Yarn, The Alphabeticians, Tallulah's Daddy, Pointed Man Band and special guest Penny's Puppets. Let's go on an adventure that takes us out of the rain and into our endless imaginations. Sunday 4-5:30pm. $7
