Squishing of the Squash at Oregon Zoo. See some of the world's largest land animals demolish some of the area's largest pumpkins. Friday 10:30am. Free with Zoo admission.
Storytime + Craft at Craft Factory. Bring the little ones for a free storytime, then stay to craft an ornament for $5. Friday 10:30-11am.
Monster Mash Baby Dance and Costume Party at West Linn Library. Dancing, bubbles, treats, and a photo booth for the 0-3 yr olds. Friday 10:30-11:30am. Free with pre-registration.
Great Pumpkin Hunt at Garden Home Rec Center. Enjoy the howling fun activities, witch's brew and tasty cobwebs in the gym then head outside for the flashlight pumpkin hunt! Come in your costume for the costume contest and don't forget your flashlight. Friday 6-8pm. $10
Monster Mash at Peninsula Park Community Center. Wear your costume and get into the spirit. Dance, make creepy crafts, and play bewitching games that only come out once a year. Fun for all ages. Friday 6-8:30pm. Free!
Date Night Drop Off at Collage Sellwood. Sign your kids up and go out for a date. Collage will have a plethora of crafts to keep them busy. Ages 6+. Friday 6:30-8:30pm. $20.
Fall Forest Fest at Tillamook Forest Center. A festival to celebrate all the wonderful things autumn brings with a crafting area, hot cider, and programs about fall flora and fauna. Saturday & Sunday 10am-4pm. Free!
Spooky Dance Party at Hillsboro Library. Put on your costumes and come do the Monster Mash, complete with disco lights. Light snacks provided. Saturday 10-11:30am. Free!
Nature Discovery Day at Tryon Creek. Explore what makes beavers so successful in aquatic habitats. Staff will share bones, animal pelts, live animals, and all sorts of other cool stuff. Saturday 11:30am-1pm. Free!
Superhero Party at Velour Photography. Event includes face painting, juice & snack, crafts, photo opp & (2) 5x7 Prints. Kids are encouraged to wear their own costumes - but there will be capes and accessories for photos. There will also be a face painter, so please leave your masks at home, younger kids can be easily scared by masks. Saturday 12-3pm. $15 in advance online/$20 at the door per child. Adults Are FREE! Geared for ages 2-8, but all ages welcome!
James and the Giant Peach closing weekend - Northwest Children's Theater. Climb aboard with James and his crew of giant, friendly insects, as they sail an enchanted peach across the Atlantic in search of a new home. Based on the Roald Dahl classic. Best ages 6+. Saturday and Sunday noon and 4pm.

The Bug Chicks Visit Vancouver's Water Resources Center. Spend a fun, free, family-friendly afternoon learning about the amazing world of insects, spiders and other arthropods. Sunday 1:30-4pm. Free!
Day of the Dead/Dia de los Muertos at Tigard Library. Celebrate and remember loved ones who have passed on by making mini altars and skeleton puppets, decorating sugar skulls, and making tissue paper marigolds. Sunday 1:30-2:30pm. Free!
