A party! Sweet Kickstarter Kickup Wednesday, June 27
You're all invited. Think of it as a salon for writers and readers-to-be, a celebration of mothers with ideas and the fathers too, a little sweet stop in the midst of a week, a chance to catch our breath and catch up. With the help of Two Tarts Bakery in NW Portland and some great friends-and-urbanMamas, I'm throwing a little party to help launch our literary magazine and to thank the helpers who've already backed us. There will be goodie bags including treats from Alma Chocolate and the canvolution and more to come.
Wednesday, June 27
6:30 to 9 p.m.
Two Tarts Bakery, 2309 NW Kearney St.
Things to eat. Things to drink! A raffle! Kids are up to you.
After the jump: my description of the party. I had fun with this.
We'll have prizes for coming and prizes for donating; a big raffley basket of goodness for those who have supported us or do so at the event. Every dollar you have pledged or do pledge at the event will count as a raffle ticket, but you need not give to win other lovely things. This will be worthwhile!
(Related: donations welcome! please contact me!)
We'll also have mini-magazines at the event for purchase and perusal, so you can see the sort of thing we plan to publish in 'Stealing Time,' and there may be a few readings. This is a child-indulgent event, though only you know if you really *want* to bring your child along.
If you've given, even a dollar or your time and love to the magazine, we want you here! If you've thought about giving but want proof of concept first, please please come. If you don't even consider giving but like us and cookies, come. We need you all!
