Surfing urbanPapas
Are there any urbanPapas out there who fit this bill?
My husband has been a dedicated surfer since his college years at Black's Beach in San Diego. Since we had kids, what used to be a vital part of his life has turned into a very occasional activity. However, now that the youngest is 4 and we've emerged from that period of crazed intensity, my husband is looking to get back in the ocean on a more regular basis. He's wondering if there are any UrbanPapa surfers out there who'd like to share gas and driving (and good conversation!) on a once-a-month daytrip to the coast. As a parent, he understands the contstraints of family life, but he's looking for a guy(s) who are committed and won't flake out on him. Please call Bruce at 503-872-9943.

Oh my husband would love a regular "date". Waves and weather permitting. Your husband should email mine at naturodoc@gmail.com.

My husband used to surf the rough waves of Humboldt County regularly - but I took him away form all of that. I have already sent him the link. He still gets wistful about it. Thanks.

My husband sold his longboard in a fit of "I'm a dad and can no longer live that life"-itis. I told him it didn't need to be that way....maybe he'll get back to it someday.

I'll forward the link to my husband, as well. He was just checking out the surf report online last ngiht to see where is best near Newport where we're headed this weekend.

Glad there are allot of surfing papa's out there. maybe next year for me. Although as I remember being a fellow SD'er, Blacks had good surf, but the beach was also a clothing "optional". We went a few times, but not for surfing... hah... :P
