Getaway to Cannon Beach

One thing we absolutely love about Portland is how close we are to so many easy getaways: down to southern Oregon, in search of sun, camping, resorts in Columbia Gorge, central Oregon, and so many other amazing family outings.  Sadie Rose is thinking about a Cannon Beach getaway:

I have another question on a totally unrelated topic. My mom, grandma, and brother are all coming to visit in late september, and I'd love to do a weekend getaway to Cannon Beach. If anyone knows of any good rentals and such I'd love to hear some recommendations, rather than just wing it.

We like Tolovana Inn because it has a pool and separate bedrooms. We usually go during the offseason though, since summer rates are pretty high. http://www.tolovanainn.com/

We love this awesome house - High Jinx

It is so beautiful... 1/2 block to the beach - near haystack rock and 1/2 block to downtown. It is very kid friendly with a kid's quaers featuring 6 (3-sets) bunk beds. We reserved it for Sunday, 9/16 through Wednesday, 9/19. We need to cancel. It is expensive but worth it!

We haven't been to Cannon Beach lately but if you'd be interested in going to Florence my mom has a lovely beach rental there. It's super kid friendly with a boat bunk bed and baby swing hanging on the wraparound porch. September is gorgeous at the coast! There is lots to do with kids in Florence: A fun little old town with a great toy shop and ice cream parlor. Also, we just did a Dune Buggy ride, a big hit with both kids ages 2 and 7. They have mini golf/bumper boats at the same place.

Obviously the beaches and tidepools are a blast too. Have a great trip wherever you go!

My family has a beach house that we rent in Cannon Beach. It's just up the hill from Haystack Rock and the Needles and has a great view and really easy beach access. It has 1 bedroom with a double bed on the main floor, and the upstairs is all open with 2 double beds at one end and the other end has 2 twin beds. There are 1.5 baths, and the full bath was just remodeled in February. It rents for $125/night from April 1-Oct 1, and is $100/night the rest of the year. You are expected to leave it as clean as when you got there as there is no housekeeping service. My sister is in charge of the rentals, so I'm not sure what the availability is. Her e-mail is: [email protected] if you're interested, and she can send you photos, if you'd like. I told her that I would be posting this here.

Informative post!! Hey, are you know about the Cannon Beach ? It is a big as well as beautiful beach. I went there with my parents. But i will go there once more.
