Year of the Pig

Let's not forget the rich culture that the large Vietnamese community adds to Portland.  If you're looking to expand your horizons and if you can find some time to fit in some "Tet" celebrations bewtween the Mardi Gras parties, head to the Oregon Convention Center and perhaps catch a glimpse of the Miss Ao Dai of Oregon beauty pageant, the traditional Lion Dance, and art exhibits by local Vietnamese artist.  The event is sponsored by the Oregon Vietnamese Community Association.

When: Feb. 24th Saturday 9:30 am - 5:00 pm; Feb. 25th Sunday 10:00 am - 4:00 pm
Where: Oregon Convention Center, 777 NE MLK, Jr. Blvd., Portland, Oregon 97232
Admission: $3 for one day, $5 for both days (Children ages 10 or younger and adults ages 65 and older enter free)
