Victory Academy: A School for Children with Autism Spectrum and Related Disorders

Victory Academy opens its doors in September 2009 and serves children with Autism Spectrum and related disorders (Asperger's Syndrome, Developmental Motor Dyspraxia, Apraxia of Speech, and Sensory Integration Disorder). Victory Academy is located within The Children's Hour Academy in Lake Oswego, Oregon and offers an occupational therapy suite, art studio, modern computer lab, "green" outdoor playground, library, full-sized gymnasium, secure campus, and dining hall. It is the first Oregon elementary school of its kind, carefully designed for this amazing group of children.
Victory Academy is a non-profit, year-round school and begins the 2009-2010 year with ages kindergarten through third grade, growing up to the fifth grade. The school day is for 7.5 hours and the approximate student to teacher ratio is 8:3.
Victory Academy offers challenging academics combined with therapeutic services, including social skills, daily living strategies, and individual language and communication practice. Teachers are trained in ABA, RDI, Floortime, Sensory Integration, Social Skills, Special Diets, and Complimentary Protocols.
