Buckman is an Arts Focus Elementary school open to students from across the PPS school district , as well as an inner SE neighborhood school. Buckman offers arts-integrated education. This means that while providing students with a strong academic base, the teachers work to nurture the whole child—intellectual, emotional, social, and physical. Staff use a multiple intelligence approach, working with and inspiring students' linguistic, logical-mathematical, musical, body-kinetic, spatial, interpersonal, and intrapersonal intelligences.
