Hi there,
I'm the president of the PTA at Sitton. I have a Kindergartener there. This school has had a bad reputation, but I'm finding that it's really just a normal school with some cool things starting to happen. There was a ballet teacher with OBT that was at the school for a few weeks teaching the kids ballet. This week there is a musician in residence. The PTA is planning a spring carnival. The school has a ways to go in having open communication with the parents, but it's really getting there.

We have enrolled our daughter at Sitton for kindergarten. Sure, it's not fancy, but we are committed to supporting our local neighborhood school. It is very diverse with small class sizes and some special programs too. I agree that the area is changing...for the better! I will be joining the PTA too!
