My daughter has gone to Humboldt for four years. She is doing very good educationally....she has exposure to a variety of cultures both in the teachings and the other children attending the school. I appreciate the fact that we can walk to school and the school encourages involvement. There are several activities available through a variety of afterschool programs such as SEI, Ethos, Basketball, etc..... There is YMCA care before and after school available. The school is fairly small even though they have added 6-8 so all the teachers seem to know all the kids. There is a daily gathering to begin the school day in the cafeteria where they recite the Humboldt Pledge (English/Spanish) and the Pledge of Alligence along with making any annoucements, etc. I highly encourage you to check out the school if you live in the neighborhood. They do have free all day pre-k and Kind. programs. At this point in time all kids qualify for free breakfast and lunch.

Our PTA generally meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6pm in the school library. All are welcome!

The Humboldt parent involvement coordinator hosts a Friday Coffee Chat on Fridays after morning assembly, and the PTA sponsors a montly Family Movie Night. The next Movie Night will be Friday, February 29th.

Site Council meetings are usually the last Tuesday of the month. You can call the school at (503) 916-5468 to confirm Site Council meeting dates and times.
