Seeking Chiropractic Assistance/LMT Position

November 25, 2008

Chiropractic Assistant/Licensed Massage Therapist Position Wanted:
I am looking for a part time position as a chiropractic assistant, with the potential to stay on as a massage therapist after I receive my license in early 2009.  One of my best resources for anything mama related has been my local "urbanMamas" parenting community.  I thought I would make a post here with my goals, ideas, and motivations in case anyone out there is, or knows of a local chiropractor looking for some help in this area.

My proposal:  Ideally I would love to find a position one day a week (to start) as a chiropractic assistant while I study for my LMT boards this winter, with progression into a massage therapist position post licensure.  Once I have my license I have the idea for a promotional program in a chiropractor's office to both bring in new clientele (for the chiropractor) as well as to thank current patients for their referrals.

Join the Third Annual Low-Car Diet Challenge

June 20, 2008

Spring Cleaning? NWDSA Now Accepting Rummage Sale Donations!

May 07, 2008

The Northwest Down Syndrome Association is excited to announce our first annual Spring Cleaning Rummage Sale! The sale is the brainchild of a young woman with Down syndrome who works in our office, and she is motivated to raise money for the Summer Social she is planning for our families.  The sale will be held at Bethlehem Lutheran Church at 1244 NE 39th Ave. in Portland on Saturday, June 7, from 9am - 4pm.

Help us make this first Rummage Sale a success by cleaning out your closets to celebrate spring.  We need your nearly-new, gently used items for donation. If you have already cleaned up and have an empty storage area, or even a big garage, and can help help us store donations, that would be a big help as well.  If you have items that you want to donate, contact Eleanor or Jamie at 503-238-0522. The NWDSA is a registered 501 c-3, and your donations are tax-deducible.

Want to Buy: AWD Sienna

April 23, 2008

Hi everyone,

We recently got in an accident (sans kids, thankfully!) and totalled our car and are ready to take the minivan leap. We do a lot of time on the snowy roads and safety is our greatest concern, so we need all wheel drive. Other preferences include low miles, dvd player, navigation, etc. Let me know if you have one or know of someone interested in selling!
