Scrubby Notebooks: the portable whiteboard with a social conscience

November 08, 2015

Colorful and skull juniors edit 1-smaller
Scrubby is a reusable notebook made with dry erase pages so you can create anywhere. Use it with dry erase markers and it works just like your whiteboard. Use it with correctable markers and the ink does not wipe away, but erases easily with the pen's eraser or a cloth.

It's rugged and waterproof so you'll be able to reuse it over and over again. The covers feature amazing art by homeless youth from p:ear and a portion of proceeds benefit this great organization.

It's a great way to keep kids unplugged and entertained at restaurants or while travelling. Perfect for practicing writing or math, doodling, exploring ideas or playing hangman. Parents will love using them, too!

The notebooks are designed and produced in SE Portland (printed and bound at Col-Tab, a woman-owned business on SE Belmont).

Local early birds will get their notebooks in time for the holidays!

Skills5

Awesome tool for kids to connect the dots between how they're feeling, who's involved, and how to cope.  Great way "in" for kids and adults to talk about the important, sometimes uncomfortable stuff.  Please check it out and consider pre-ordering a deck.  Every bit of support helps get this project off the ground.  Thank you!!  Feedback welcome here or via email - ksnellryan@gmail.com

ISO Puzzles and Toy Cooking Implements

March 24, 2007

I am looking for used wooden or cardboard puzzles for 2-4-year-olds - we've moved beyond the pegged kind into jigsaw-land, but only just barely. I don't mind if they're ugly, battered or missing a piece or two. I also need a few small pots or pans for cooking the vast numbers of pretend meals I seem to be eating lately. I can't afford to spend a lot, and I prefer to pick them up in close-in NE or downtown.  Please email me at ostling32 at gmail dot com. Thanks very much!

ISO Fabric Boy Doll

March 13, 2007

Jane ( graysquirrel75@yahoo.com ) is looking for a fabric boy doll for her son:

Do you have one your child is not that into?  I would love to buy it from you.  I am hoping to find a Waldorf style doll that is not too expensive.  Here is a link to a Nova Natural doll that I am looking at.
