April 24, 2014

I'm moving to Portland in July and expecting a baby in early September. We'll have health coverage through Kaiser. Any recommendations for OBs within the network? I've only been to private practices before and am not sure how it works at Kaiser. Would I see any number of OB's for prenatal and deliver with the doctor who is on call that day? Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

My name is Loren, and I would love to work with your child or teen to foster their artistic talents and nurture their creativity.

Creative Cycle brings high quality fine arts instruction directly to your doorstep.  Lessons can be private, or for a small group.  Instructional programs are individually tailored to meet your child's needs and build on their interests.

If your child or teen is passionate about art, and would benefit from going beyond their in-school art program, I would love to meet with you and discuss the ways in which we can work together to fulfill their needs.

Perinatologist recommendation

March 27, 2012

I am in the Northern California area in Vacaville halway between Sacramento,  San Francisco, and Oakland.   My fiance and I are TTC our second child together. I have a son from a previous relationship and delivered him early due to preeclampsia in 2003.  Before that I had 4 miscarriages.  I had another pregnancy after him in 2010 that ended in a miscarriage.  My most recent pregnancy ended in a stillbirth at 39weeks4days on 12/22/11 (his due date was 12/25/11) Due to my pregnancy history  I am looking for a good high risk Perinatologist/ OBGYN.  I am willing to travel for a good doctor so that I can have peace of mind. I have had many losses and I am in no way naive to the factg that the next one end up in loss too but I want a doctor that will take my concerns seriously and think outside the box regarding my issues. I know my body and I'll be damned if I get another doctor that ignores me because my swelling isn't accompanied with an extremely high BP and this is only trace protein in my urine. I had an appointment the day before he died with severe swelling in my legs, feet, hands, and face. I told him I didnt feel him moving as much. But I was sent home. In the morning I didn't feel him moving. I would appreciate any recommendations? I have some choices as I am a veteran and can get fee basis from the VA and through my job I have health insurance for Kaiser.  I have changed my OB/GYN to one in Napa and hope he is a better fit than my other one from Vacaville who I feel let me down on several different levels.  Oh, and a question,  through Kaiser do you have to be referred to a perinatologist because when changing my OB I didnt notice any that specialized in perinatolgy that I could select for my OB? Any help on that regard would be much appreciated.

Hello, I received a floral diaper cake for my shower. It was beautiful and really not like any that I have seen in the past, so I thought I might give them a shootout to everyone. Thanks Ray and Kathy!
