Scrubby Notebooks: the portable whiteboard with a social conscience

November 08, 2015

Colorful and skull juniors edit 1-smaller
Scrubby is a reusable notebook made with dry erase pages so you can create anywhere. Use it with dry erase markers and it works just like your whiteboard. Use it with correctable markers and the ink does not wipe away, but erases easily with the pen's eraser or a cloth.

It's rugged and waterproof so you'll be able to reuse it over and over again. The covers feature amazing art by homeless youth from p:ear and a portion of proceeds benefit this great organization.

It's a great way to keep kids unplugged and entertained at restaurants or while travelling. Perfect for practicing writing or math, doodling, exploring ideas or playing hangman. Parents will love using them, too!

The notebooks are designed and produced in SE Portland (printed and bound at Col-Tab, a woman-owned business on SE Belmont).

Local early birds will get their notebooks in time for the holidays!

outings with a 3 month old

November 13, 2008

I am a mother of a 3 almost 4 month old.  I have searched the internet for things I can do with her to get us both out of the house, but can not find anything.  I have found many classes and outings once she turns 6 months, but I really would love to get out before then.
I live in SE Portland, so prefer not to drive too far, but I am open.  Perhaps even a mothers group in the Woodstock area?
Thank you for any suggestions.
Stacy

Postpartum Chiropractic Care on NE Broadway

June 20, 2008

Postpartum chiropractic care on NE Broadway. I just had a baby about a month ago and my body was wrecked from the pregnancy and labor. My body continues to have aches and pains from holding my new baby, etc. I went to Flores Chiropractic at 2916 NE Broadway and I am finally starting to feel normal again! I am finally getting back to normal and feel I am able to start exercising again without pain. It is great. Plus Dr. Flores is really nice, laid-back, down to earth guy who really seems to care. Check him out – Dr. Noe Flores, 2916 NE Broadway, Suite B, 971-255-1922; drnoeflores@gmail.com. He just opened not too long ago, so his sign is not up yet. His office is behind the DocuMart not too far from Fred Meyer on Broadway. My kinks are getting worked out - Lynn

Post-natal fitness group- FREE bootcamp

Hi all-

I just had my 2nd child a few weeks ago and am looking forward to getting back into shape.  After the birth of my first child, I led a group of other mamas in a exercise group similar to the baby bootcamps held here and in other cities.  I thought, why pay for a class when all I really wanted was a group to help keep me motivated? It worked really well, and was a lot of fun, so I'd like to do it again.

I will be organizing a low-impact walking/calesthenics, 1 hour outdoor exercise routine in Inner NE Portland that can be done with your baby in a stroller.  So- if you have a pre-crawling baby and would like to get together with a group a few days a week to help lose the baby weight, I'd love to hear from you.  wubledoo@yahoo.com

Best,
Robin
