Free Lead Testing
Hello Mamas!
I invite you all to attend one of our FREE CLINICS to have your children or yourself (if you are pregnant or nursing) tested for lead.
1 in 10 Portland area children are exposed to unsafe levels of lead every year!
Josiah Hill III Clinic is a non-profit organization that provides FREE lead testing services, resources, education, and advocacy for children and families in the Portland area.
Lead can affect anyone, but especially children six and younger and pregnant women. Lead poisoning can cause developmental problems such as: aggressive behavior, brain damage, slowed growth, and learning problems.
Here's our monthly clinic schedule:
1st Thursday of every month
Next clinic: Thursday, August 6, 11am-1pm
Baltazar Ortiz Community Center
6736 NE Killingsworth
2nd Thursday of every month
Next clinic: Thursday, August 13, 5pm-7pm
Dishman Community Center
77 NE Knott St.
Aside from these monthly clinics, we also participate in community events and hold private clinics for organizations interested.
Our next public events will be at New Columbia Community Center (July 21, 1-3pm) and Ed Benedict Park for the East Portland Expo Community Event (July 24-26, various times).
Please, please contact us if you have any questions, concerns about lead, or need more information about our clinic and the services we provide.
