This urban mama needs to find some serenity!  I have promised myself that this year I would start meditating and I thought that a class would help me get started.  Does anyone out there have suggestions for mediation classes in or around Portland?  I don't want anything too heavy on a particular spiritual or religious bent, but I do yoga and am otherwise pretty open minded.  Thanks for your help!

I purchased this for my son's nanny share with another little boy. Then the nanny share arrangement fell through all together. It is assembled but has never been used at all. Literally, it took one spin around our living room when I first assembled it and then straight to the closet. Its been past 90 days since I purchased it so Babies R Us wont let me return it.

It is a great sturdy umbrella stroller. Not too bulky and easy to fold down but still well built enough to be enjoyable to push. Retails for $89.

I even have a little organizer bag that attaches to the back I will throw in for free.

Kids Kung Fu Night Out at One With Heart Tulen Center - St Johns

Kids ages 6-10 have fun playing kung fu inspired games and activities while you take the night off! Kids have a blast playing like the Poekoelan (Pu'ku'lan) kung fu animals; monkey, tiger, crane and snake. Pizza party and movie time included! I took my first self-defense course 17 years ago after my second baby was born. I was looking for the skills and confidence to know I could keep myself and my children safe. Now I have the opportunity to offer this fun, empowering weekend experience to women.

You will gain the skills and confidence to respond to real-life situations. Practice assertive body language and verbal skills, effective striking techniques, and learn to set clear boundaries. Strike Back is a 10 hour self-defense course for women taught by experienced, caring women instructors. Participants practice with highly trained male padded attackers in a group atmosphere where students inspire and support one another. Appropriate for women of all abilities ages 14 and older. During a time when we're all so focused on family and finances, it's hard to make time for you and your spouse to connect, isn't it?  (Even in the best of times, it seems like a difficult thing!)

Well, instead of the typical family portrait special I run this time of year, I decided to do something a little different.  Take a look at your framed photos at home and ask yourself, when is the last time you got a really great photo of you and your spouse?

We all depend on snapshots that other people have taken at parties and weddings and holidays, and never really think about having one professionally done.  Well, this is your chance!

My portrait sessions are not only a great way to get some fun shots of the two of you together, but also a great time to spend some time together away from the house, and the errands, and the kids, and the job!  A time for you to reconnect and chat and goof off for the camera.

I'm going to be offering two full weekends of these sessions, and they're going to take place at some pretty awesome locations.  Session fee is only $39.  (No, that's not a typo!)

• March 7 at Cannon Beach.  Sessions will be scheduled from sunrise to sunset.  Pick your time.
• March 8 at The Pittock Mansion.  Sessions available from sunrise to 1pm.
• April 4 at Cannon Beach.  Sessions available from sunrise to sunset.
• April 5 at Cathedral Park in St. John's.

Sessions are CASUAL - so bundle up and bring your coffee and get ready to have fun!!!

I was searching for reviews on local private schools and ran across this website called http://kidzlist.com/.

Has anyone used this or had good luck with finding things on there?  It seems so easy to navigate and to find things quickly through the categories.  The only thing which it doesn't have but  "Urbam Mamas" is so good at is the blogging and community interaction.  It feels more like a city search for kids and family.

Looking for diaper covers?  How about a new, unopened package of swim dipes? 

I'm cleaning out my daughter's closet and have loads of clothes she hasn't even worn!  Unfortunately I'd bought them before I knew she was on strike and wouldn't wear anything but t-shirts and pants without zippers.  !!  Most still have the tags on them.  What consignment shops give the best deal?  They are mostly winter, size 4T.
