Rose City Indoor Park

Our indoor play space is for children aged 0-4 years. We have plenty of room to crawl, roll, run, jump, build, slide and more for the little ones and time to relax a little and form new friendships and networks for Mom, Dad or caregiver. Regular hours of play are Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 – 11:30. This is a cooperative play space managed and operated by member families.

The park is located in the lower level of Word and Spirit Church (formerly Faith Lutheran) @ 6140 NE Stanton (just S. of Sandy Blvd.). Entrance to the play park is on 62nd Ave.

Looking for your used toddler boy shoes...

Our family is on very tight budget and were surprised to find just how much a new pair of shoes for our soon-to-be-walking little boy might cost.  Yikes!  I brought him into Stride Rite to have his feet measured so that I could be on the lookout at local thrift shops.  His feet measured at about a 5/5.5 wide or extra-wide.  We are hoping to spend $20.00 or less.  Please let us know if you might have a pair of shoes to sell.  We live in SE Portland.  Thanks!

Question About Parenting Classes

I am a single mom of a wonderful two year old girl, Anaya. I do childcare from home and really love what I do, I think she enjoys having kids here too Her father wanted to be involved in her life and for many personal reasons I said, "No." Well, a court battle ensued and one of the requirements of him seeing her is a parenting class. He lives in Eugene and I was wondering if anyone knows of any good parenting classes here or there, he seems to be stuck in finding one and has said that if I can't find a good one he will take one online. I really don't think that is the best answer or what is best for our daughter, he has no experience with children and I just want to make sure she will be safe. Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Piano Lessons from Caring, Competent teacher in Grant Park!

Hello Mamas,

Want to give your child the joy of music?  I am accepting students in my in-home studio in the Grant Park neighborhood of NE Portland.  I have taught piano for 17 years, and love guiding students through their musical education.  Lessons are typically 1/2 hour in length and we spend that time studying pieces, music theory, and working on piano technique.  I work to make the lessons fun and enjoyable for children, and many parents have told me that their child really looks forward to their lessons!  I hold a Masters Degree in Education from Lewis and Clark, and a BA from Whitman College.  I have studied music with many fine piano teachers and professors and love to pass on the guidance that I have been given.  Music is such a great way for kids to express themselves and discover their own possibilities.  Please contact me if you are interested at pianomamapdx@yahoo.com

Thank you!
