Hello! I am a local doula who is looking to build my business and expand my clientele. In addition to working with amazing couples here in the Portland Metro area, I currently volunteer at OHSU with PDX Doulas. I have attended many different types of deliveries, and am always looking to support parents in what ever manner they choose to labor. My doula care encompasses every woman! No matter if you birth at home or in a hospital, I believe that every woman should have access to a doula. I strive to provide every client with attentive and personal care. Through our prenatal visits, we will discuss what you envision for your labor and practice various relaxation techniques, and when labor begins I will support you (and your partner) through massage, breathing, voice and visualizations, as well as advocate for your choices.

Has reliable access to a public toilet changed the way you and your little person move about in the world?  Do you think twice before you walk someplace now, because you worry you can't get to a toilet fast enough when needed?  I know locked bathrooms in Portland's parks almost completely stopped our park days for a while.  A local researcher is looking for input as to how reliable access (or the lack there of) to public toilets effects peoples' willingness to use public transportation options like the bus and the max.  I've never used Portland's public spaces more (parks, buses, libraries) than I did during those first few years of my daughter's life.  I think parents have useful input in a survey like this, but speak up soon, it is almost closed!   Here it is: https://portlandstate.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_5mvdEe5ohSH6KXj

Little Adventurers Day Home is looking to reopen its doors so that its services may be available to families in the Lents community and in the southeast. Our first focus are the underserved families in Lents (low-income/no-income, immigrant, people of color), and ensuring these families have the same access to quality child care and parental and family support as moderate to high income families do. Our cause is a great one but we need much support to take it on and begin serving families.
