Hi there!

Mom is looking to go back to work after being home with daughter for the past year. Will need someone at most 3 days per week (5-6 hours per day) to play with, feed, attend to, and nurture our daughter while Dad gets some sleep after working the night shift. Schedule will be determined once mom gains employment. 

Typical duties include: Serving breakfast and lunch (meals will be pre-made; just need to heat--if applicable--and serve), helping her get dressed (clothes will be laid out), including brushing teeth and washing her face, playing with her outside or at a neighborhood park, taking her to library story time for preschoolers, assisting with homeschool work, making sure she takes a nap, and light cleanup after meals/activities. She has plenty of craft materials, books, and toys to  make her play time and learning time meaningful. She also likes to sing songs and watch her Bible story DVDs (limit 1 per day, no more than 30 minutes at a time).

We are a Christian and Christian-inspired, vegetarian family that aims to provide a wholesome, loving, healthy environment for our little girl. All we ask of a potential caregiver is that you be kind, patient, creative, and attentive to our daughter. Hello!

I am 25 year old college graduate and freelance photographer/musican/artist/jewelry/ maker who loves children! Most of my childcare experience comes from working for friends and family and in my hometown Mankato, Minnesota and photographing children of all ages at a local Portrait studio in Portland.  My area of work allows me to have a very open schedule with a few photo gigs on the weekends. I am very flexable and am open to working anywhere from five to forty hours per week! I love to teach children about expression through art, reading, free play, music, dance, and even goofing-off! I am reliable, always on time, and enjoy cleaning, cooking, and enjoy engaging with children. I've held various positions that relate to childcare in one way or another, including; eco friendly house cleaning, planning and leading activities at an assisted living home, as a sales associate at a toy store, and cooking in a non-profit kitchen.
