Hi Mamas,
I am a Mama of two little girls (3mo. and 2 years) looking to care for 2 toddlers in my home 2 or 3 days a week starting at the beginning of January. We will be outdoors as much we can and we will go on many neighborhood outings. We love to read books and do art projects. We feed our toddler as much organic food as possible and would do the same for yours. I am a certified Elementary School teacher so I have plenty of experience with kids. I also am a fluent Spanish speaker and would be happy to work with your little one to learn some basics. My preference is to do M-W-F but the days of the week and hours are flexible if we can find the right situation. Please give me a call or email if you are interested!
Cheers,
Ali

We currently have to leave our childcare provider due to falling victim to our 'economic crisis'. We would love to find someone to take our son's place (I believe they would need a 2-2.5 year old male to replace our spot); since we are obligated to pay for the next 3 months unless a replacement is found. So this is sort of a marketing tactic to introduce a childcare option to those that are currently searching!

We have a small preschool in the Creston-Kenilworth neighborhood (close to Woodstock as well) that has openings for children 2 years and older. Our daily schedule includes circle time, music, movement, stories, outside activities and craft projects. We also have monthly themes that incorporate age appropriate content and are geared to children’s natural interests. Currently, we are in a big summer unit -we just finished learning about bugs and rainbows, and are now on to plants. We cover many basic preschool skills in our daily routine--including things like counting, literacy (introductory reading and writing skills), and the all-important skill of learning to be part of a community.
I am a licensed elementary teacher (taught 6th grade math and science until starting a family) and have 2 children of my own. I also have varied experience working in preschool settings (montessori, reggio-emilia). I am a certified family child care center which means that I have been checked with the criminal history registry, I am CPR certified, I provide healthy meals and snacks, and I meet all safety and health regulations set by the state.
If you would like more information, give me a call or email me.

We just open our doors this month in Sellwood, and would love for you to come to one of our Open Houses.
About us: We are a dual immersion program for pre-school aged children (3yr-5yrs). The teachers speak Spanish during the class time, using English when necessary. Teachers make learning Spanish fun while providing a structured and warm classroom environment. Uno, Dos, Tres Academy believes that creating an environment where children have fun while being exposed to the Spanish language paves the way for greater receptivity to learning the language in a more structured setting later in life.
While Uno, Dos, Tres Academy recognizes that language and literacy are core components of children's learning experience, we also believe that children grow and develop through a variety of ways. Throughout the day we provide children with a rich art program, dance, music, nature, literature, stories, and one-on-one interactions with peers and staff.
We are open Monday thru Friday from 7:00am -5:30pm and provide an enriching program for families who are interested in a Spanish immersion education for their young child. We offer small class sizes, which allow for many one-on-one interactions with peers and teachers. We have two large classrooms with one Lead Teacher in each class and a Teacher Assistant that assists in both of the classroom half of the time.
Schedules:
Part-Time Preschool 8:00am-12:00pm or 12:30pm-4:30pm (starting in Mid November)

Sunflower House Nursery School is open for enrollment. I am a state certified pre-school and home childcare for ages 2 – 5 years (I will consider 21+ months.) I am located in the NE but easily accessible from all directions. I have a big home with the main floor devoted to the school. Our play yard is large with fruit trees and gardens. Sunflower House is beautiful and enchanting and ready to welcome your beloved child to a world of wonder and love.
I have an eclectic philosophy that employs what I love best about Waldorf, Montessori, Reggio Emelia and Creative Curriculum. I offer art, music, science; pre-literacy skills and Kindergarten readiness, all through a developmentally appropriate framework that is essentially play.
I provide a happy home where children can flourish as members of a loving family and be embraced and valued for their unique beings. Sunflower House is a warm, calm, secure, nurturing and magical place where a child’s imagination and creativity can thrive. Children learn through play: by exploring, experimenting and discovering by themselves and with each other. As each child encounters success and becomes self-confident through a variety of experiences a positive foundation for learning is laid. A most important work of early childhood is being accomplished as children learn to think for themselves, solve problems and get along with each other.
My curriculum gives your child the opportunity to experience art and music through different media, play instruments, sing with me as I play the autoharp or ukulele, engage in creative movement, create puppet shows, cook, garden, and explore science through nature in our own back yard. Our circle time is magical. There is plenty of time for free play.
My daily rhythm is unhurried and peaceful. My children are able to learn to anticipate transitions and happily and mindfully engage in what is being requested of them. Rain or shine each day we spend time outdoors and grow and tend a vegetable garden. We grind our own grain, make bread, tortillas, muffins and crackers for our snacks.
Sunflower House Nursery School is a wonderful opportunity for your family and child to experience love and community with mindfulness and joy to what each day offers.
I offer a full day program from 8:30 – 5:30 and a half day program from 8:30 – 12:30. Full or part time attendance is offered as well.
You are welcome to visit (by appointment) or call with any questions.

What if you could go to work every day and feel great about your baby’s care? What if your baby could be nurtured in a small, beautiful, cozy, peaceful environment?
Child Light Infant Nursery has one full time opening for a child 8 to 18 months.
When parents visit our intimate yet spacious nursery, their response is unanimous and immediate – I didn’t know something like this existed. I want this for my child!
How are we different? The environment is inspired by Waldorf principles to support your child holistically, including eco-sensitive fabrics and toys, and daily contact with the lush natural surroundings. The caregivers are exceptionally dedicated professionals who provide your baby with the same loving care and constant attention you may not have imagined possible outside your own home. That’s why infants don’t just grow in our care – they bloom.
We’re nestled in the Jennings Lodge neighborhood of Milwaukie, ten minutes south of Sellwood and three minutes north of the I-205 Oregon City exit. As the founder, I have fifteen years experience working with infants and toddlers. Our entire staff is on the criminal history registry and has current CPR and first aid cards. We provide care Monday-Friday from 7 am – 6 pm. The cost is $56 dollars per day, similar to other programs but with so much more for your baby and peace of mind for your whole family.
We also host monthly gatherings for parents to share, learn, stay closely involved, and support one another in community.
Thank you!
