We are open to following options:
1. PT (25-30 hrs) or FT Nanny (40+ hrs).
2. Full-time daycare /preschool who can accomodate both boys on a full-time basis

We are seeking an experienced FT Nanny in our SW Portland home for our newborn son (he will be 2 months old when care begins). We are looking for care to start in mid-December as mom transitions back to work.
Greetings to all parents and guardians in Portland! I am a teacher who decided to provide childcare (more like a nanny-share) after having 2 adorable girls. They are 18 and 5 months old. I have a wide range of experience in education as an elementary and a toddler teacher. My qualifications include First Aid/CPR, Food Handlers, background check #, RRCAN and several other childcare trainings.
Currently, I am looking for 1 friend to join our group in December and 1 more in January at my home strategically located near MLK and Killingsworth with easy access to public transportation and I5. I keep my ratio low, maximum is 1:4. The ideal situation for me is to find a family with a child within the ages of 3 months to 2 years. This way, my daughters and your child(ren) can be friends. I am happy to take care your child(ren) from 2 to 4 days a week. The childcare is open from Tuesday-Friday at 8am-5pm. Extra hours, date nights and drop ins can be arranged. Occasional Mondays is open for further discussion.
Feel free to contact me (Nina) by phone at 503-804-4843 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
A Montessori Manny looking for an Awesome Family!
We are a younger professional family in SW portland seeking an experienced nanny to begin PT in January (a few December hrs). Our girls, Audrey and Iris, will be 2 3/4 and 4 mos respectively come January. We need care for both of them on Monday and Wednesday from 7-4:30 with a potential 1/2 day Thursday from 7-12:30.
The job description includes caring for and developing fun play and learning experiences for baby and toddler (including outings), light household duties (ex: dishes, laundering cloth diapers, upkeep of kids' rooms), occasional family errands (ex: post office, dry cleaning) . We are offering to pay $12-18/hour , based on experience.
Our ideal candidate is loving, energetic, creative and patient and has extensive experience with both toddlers and infants.
Outside of the obvious safety, play, and education that go along with childcare, we are looking for someone with a loving heart who has a desire to build a relationship with the girls; while we recognize it is a professional job, we feel that the most important thing they can learn early on is care for others and they do this through quality relationships.
If this position at all describes you and fits your needs, I would love to see a resume (email me at email@example.com) as well as chat with you over the phone. If you're interested, please attach your resume and let me know of a good time to reach you.
Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you!

Our current nanny is traveling abroad, so we are looking for a replacement for a few weeks in our nannyshare. We are seeking an experienced interim nanny for care in Dec 11 - 13 and 16-20. Care would be for between two and three children, ages one and two years old, for weekdays between 7:30a.m.-5:45 p.m.
We are seeking an affectionate, creative and fun caregiver. The kids love reading books, doing art projects and taking trips to the park and library. We are located in Southwest Portland in the Hillsdale neighborhood. Please send references and salary requirements to heather.e.d.mcpherson AT gmail com.
I am a 29 year old nanny and artist. One of my part time childcare positions is ending and I am looking for another great family to begin working with during the second week in December. I will be available all day Thursdays, Wednesday mornings until 2:30pm, and may have some time on Tuesdays in the late afternoon. It is important to me to have a dependable schedule so a family in need of a minimum of 10 hours per week with little change expected in the foreseeable future would truly be ideal.
We are looking for a nanny for our daughter starting at the end of December. She’ll be six months old then. We need someone who will be able to work flexible hours and weekdays, though we will not need help before 6:30 am or after 8 pm. We also will rarely need someone more than 10 hours in a day. We know our schedule a month in advance so the days and hours could be arranged the month before. Although the schedule would vary, we can guarantee 15 hours weekly at 15 dollars an hour. Some weeks we will need more help than this.
If you are interested, please let me know and we’ll set up a time to meet and get to know each other.
Thanks, Amy and Andy
We are seeking a nanny share/ nanny starting mid-November for our son who will be 8 weeks old. We are looking to have 2-3 days of care from 8:30am to 5:00pm. We live in the Penisula neighborhood and would love to find someone to share a nanny with who is close by with a similar aged child.
Please call Laura or Brian at 503-758-8239 if you are interested in this arrangement or email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
I am a 22-year-old nanny who, after an office stint, is looking to get back to my childcare roots. I am looking to start in the next few weeks, and would prefer to give my current place of employment 2 weeks notice. In January I plan on returning to school part-time so I am looking for a family with a bit of flexibility in the future, but would give at least a month's notice before needing to change my work schedule.
Prior to my current job, I worked with toddlers and preschool-age children for three years in a Reggio center. I have also worked with infants in a Montessori school. Most recently I was a nanny for a year and a half for toddler twins. I tend to integrate several educational philosophies but we can, of course, work together on this. I am experienced with cloth diapers, potty training, infant sign language, and conversational Spanish. I also have some special needs experience. I'm more than happy to help clean up around the house and I love to cook. I have all certifications and paperwork in order (RCAAN, cpr/first-aid, criminal history registry, food handler's).
Do you need a couple days a week to yourself? Are you a work-from-home parent? Do you currently work Tuesdays and/or Thursdays? Are your current days flexible? We'd love to share a nanny with you!
We're looking for another family with an infant between the ages of 3 months and 7 months to share a nanny in our home on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 7:15ish and 4 or 5 pm. We live in the Richmond neighborhood in inner SE PDX.
If you are interested, please contact Annie at firstname.lastname@example.org or 541-231-9915. Thanks!
I recently became a stay at home Mom with a soon to be 3 month old little girl. I am looking for a loving nanny to help me for a handful of hours per week.
I would want to start with 2 hours per week then potentially build to 4-6 hours per week after a relationship is established. I am flexible with these worked hours. This position would also allow for extra hours as opportunities arise. In the near future my husband and I would love to go out one or two early evenings per month for a 'date night.'
I basically need an extra set of hands (doesn't every Mom?) to watch our little one while I catch up on household work. I am still nursing therefore I am looking for a nanny to stay close enough to our home that I could continue to nurse when needed throughout the day.
Our little one is charming as can be but can sometimes be a handful. It is important that the nanny I'm seeking have previous experience with infants as well as love and patience. We use cloth diapers so someone who has experience with these or willing to learn would be ideal.
Please email me if you are interested in this position and we can discuss details!

We are looking for someone to care for our infant daughter (3 months) at our home in the Buckman neighborhood beginning in September. We need someone who is willing to work part-time from 9:00-3 (maybe earlier some days) on Thursdays and Fridays during the school year with occasional breaks (following the school calendar). The ideal nanny will have experience working with infants and have excellent references.
We would like to find someone who is loving and caring and will take time to interact with our daughter and give her plenty of opportunities to learn and explore as she grows. We use cloth diapers and our daughter is breastfed, so we'd love to work with someone who is experienced with this or willing to learn.
We are also open to a nanny share situation.
If you are interested, please contact us at 971-250-1356 or brittany.nielsen.watson at gmail.com.
I am a teacher and my sweetie is a woodworker. We live in North Portland, St Johns to be exact, and are looking for someone who knows the area or is open to being adventurous in a new part of town. It is a great neighborhood to keep kids busy- walking distance to the library, pool, parks and playgrounds, cafes and stores. We are also members (and within walking distance) of Swap and Play, which is an amazing community sharing space that offers classes and endless fun for the kids. We also spend a lot of time in our big backyard where the boys have spent the summer gardening and running around naked eating fruit all day.
We are looking for a part-time nanny for Mondays and Wednesdays, which would roughly be 20 hours a week (7:30- 5 ish). We can offer $12 an hour but are somewhat negotiable. The job would run the course of the school year- end of August to June-ish. There may be a random day or two that we also need help, and ideally, we would love to have an occasional babysitter, but that's a bonus. Please let me know if you are interested so we can meet and talk more.
Two families looking for an experienced, reliable, and energetic part-time nanny for our easy-going (but active!) preschoolers, a boy and a girl, both 4 years old. Weekdays from 12-5, except 12-3:30 on Tuesdays. Parents work at home and are in need of uninterrupted work time, so we’re looking for someone to pick up the kids from their school in the Woodstock neighborhood (with our family car), give them snacks, and plan outings & activities for them. They love art projects, music, books, and exploring parks. They’re best buddies and love to play together, although resolving the occasional conflict will be necessary, so being able to effectively communicate with verbal and strong-minded preschoolers is important. Certification in child CPR and first-aid required, as well as excellent references and a clean driving record. Fluency in a second language and experience caring for at least two children is a plus. If this sounds like a good fit, please don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
We are seeking a part-time nanny 2-3 days a week starting at the end of September. We have two boys, a 3 year old and an 8 month old. We live in NE Portland. I am a substitute teacher, and want to make myself work on more of a consistent basis, so we have decided that hiring a nanny would be our best option. I will also potentially get a long term sub position starting in October, and if interested, there would be the possibility of working 4 days a week until winter break. Though that would be something we could discuss at a later date.
So, as I mentioned above, we are looking for 2-3 days a week. Depending on what school I am at decides the start time. I would either need a start time of 7:15 or 7:45, and an end time of either 3 or 3:15. Our oldest also attends preschool Monday and Wednesday mornings starting in September. It is about 1 ½ miles away from our house and is walkable on nice days, however, a car is preferred since it would be difficult to do weekly, especially with our 8 month old.
We are looking for someone who is energetic, caring, fun, and has some experience working with children. We are always doing art projects, baking, walking to the park, going to OMSI or the Zoo, or some other active thing, and that is what we would like to continue with the nanny who cares for our children.
We would also be open to a nanny share if you think it could work. If you think this might be a good fit for you, we’d love to get in touch! Please email or call if you have any questions or would like to talk!
We are looking for a great part-time nanny to care for our 3 children. Our kids are ages 9, 5, and 16months. The older two will be in school during the day, so most of the care we will need will be for our youngest child, but we will need someone who can be here to watch all three for afterschool. I anticipate needing someone Mondays, Thursdays and part day on Fridays. We have great kiddos and are looking for someone who would be a good fit for our family:) We also have 2 dogs (a bassett hound and a lab) just in case this is an issue.
We are located in Banks (15 min west of tanasbourne area).
Please respond to my email email@example.com
My name is Allison and I am looking for a part-time nanny to start in early September for two happy and active little boys (one is almost 3 yrs and one is 10 mos). If you are interested or would like some more information, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 215-681-5427. We look forward to meeting you!

We are looking for a part-time nanny to work from 8-3:30 on Mondays and 8-5:15 on Tuesdays. It is possible that we will also need help Wednesday mornings from time to time. We are raising our 7 mo old son bilingually and would prefer a native Spanish speaker. We live close to a park and the library and would like someone who is willing to take our baby out and about in the stroller. We use cloth diapers and are working on early potty training, so we would like someone who is willing to learn and continue our routine. Most of our food comes from the garden, so you will have access to organic fruits, veggies and eggs! We would like a bit of light housework during naps, but we are most concerned about finding a caring nanny who loves babies. We are also very open to a nanny share.
I'm a SAHM to my wonderful 18 month old toddler. I'm interested in a part-time nanny position, in which I would bring my daughter along with me to your home. Preferably, you have a child of similar age.
A bit about me: I have an AA in Early Childhood Education and a BA in Child and Family Studies (4.0 GPA). While in college, I worked as a long term nanny for two families over the course of 4+ years (simultaneously, as a nanny share for about 2.5 of those years).
After college, I worked at the Nike Child Development Center in Beaverton as a Lead Teacher for ages 0-3, until I left to give birth and stay at home with my daughter. I had a lot of fun doing a nanny share for two toddlers, so I think the timing is perfect to start one with my own daughter.
Our wonderful nanny is looking for a new family. Our youngest son, Nicholas, was accepted into his older brother’s preschool from the wait list. This is great news, but also a mixed blessing, because we love our nanny and don’t want to let her go! So, we are on a mission to find a new perfect family for her.
Our nanny has been with us for the past 9 months, taking care of our two sons Aiden and Nicholas. When she started, Aiden was 2-1/2 and Nicholas was 9 months. She quickly discovered many ways to be useful to our family, and has only grown more helpful as the months pass.
I simply cannot recommend our nanny more highly. She is just about perfect, as far as I am concerned. Reliable, on time, and a calm and steady presence around the house. She is a natural with kids, and mine hit it off with her right away. She has extensive childcare experience and a background in arts education, and always comes up with healthy, educational, and fun things to do with the kids.
If you would like any additional information, please feel free to contact us and we will be glad to answer any questions – firstname.lastname@example.org. We will be sure to forward any information to her. She is flexible with her schedule and ready to start in September. She just moved to SE and would prefer a job in SE or close-in NE, but would consider other areas as well. We highly recommend her, and know that her new family will be very happy with her.
We are looking for an expienced nanny to watch our elementary-aged daughters (ages 5 and 8) Monday-Friday from 8:00-9:30 am (7.5 hours/week) starting Sept. 5 - June 2014. Primary responsibilities include helping the girls get ready for school and dropping them off at Vernon Elementary (on NE 22nd and Killingsworth) each morning.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience working with children, has a valid driver’s license and is interested in playing an active role our daughters’ lives. There will be 4-8 mornings per month where the hours will be 6:30-9:30 am based on our work travel schedules. We’re also interested in discussing possible full days in August/early Sept. & afternoon hours but we must cover school mornings. Please contact Karen Gragg – Karen.email@example.com for more details. Weekly rate between $125-$250 depending on experience and hours worked.
I'm a recent MA graduate with a background in Summer Camp (counselor and director!) and a BA in Education. I was a nanny in Portland throughout grad school and recently returned to the USA after working at an international school in Germany for a year (where I also babysat!). I love children and have fantastic references and great relationships with past families.
I'm looking for full- or part-time work while I prepare for and consider next steps in my career. If you're looking for someone highly motivated, internationally minded, educationally-oriented, kind, thoughtful, responsible, active and fun, I'm the gal for you! I'm open to nannyshares, nights and weekends, occasional and/or regular posts. You can contact me (Genny) via email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks, Mamas! Good luck in your search!
Available in September 2013

My experience includes:
My family is seeking both a nanny and parent partners to form a nanny share in the Sellwood area starting in mid-August.
We will need care for one toddler during the 2013-2014 PPS school year from roughly 7:30-12:30 three to five days a week. We hope to add one or two more children to this care period, or otherwise collaborate to balance costs and the desire to offer a nanny a job that's a good fit.
Things we emphasize in parenting: books, healthy food, growing a child's unique sense of self, no screens, and fresh air.
Things we seek in a nanny: enthusiasm for children, great communication skills, and experience.
Please contact Liz at email@example.com if this might work for you.
We are looking for a friend to make a Nanny share. Mandy cares for our active and adorable 16 month old son 4 days a week in our home in NE Portland. We are somewhat flexible on location and hours, but starting at the end of August we'll need care 5 days a week. Right now she does MTF 10-5:30 and Th 9:15 to 5:15 because that fits our schedule best.
Mandy has worked for us since January and has done a great job. Her demeanor is calm and she is kind, patient and energetic with a good sense of humor. She has a natural connection to children and is CPR infant certified. She often takes our little one to the park and the library, and reads to him. She is also studying herbal medicine at the Elderberry school and is learning Spanish.

Hi, I love being a nanny and working with children. I'm a Northwest Nannies Institute graduate. I am a professional nanny with over 15 years of nanny and childcare experience. I'm also a licensed teacher. I LOVE working with infants and children of all ages. I'm registered with the Oregon Criminal Registry background check. I'm available to work part time 3 days a week M-W-F plus evenings and weekends. I love working with infants and children of all ages. Working with children is a true joy for me. I believe all children deserve excellent, loving care. I have a teaching certificate as an early intervention specialist. This is a teacher that works with children with special needs age 8 and under. I enjoy working as a nanny much more than as a teacher because I get to work more 1 on 1 with children. I'm also a certified personal chef. I enjoy cooking delicious meals for a variety of tastes and dietary needs.
The children come first and I only cook if there is time. I enjoy reading to children, doing arts and crafts, music, dramatic play, indoor and outdoor play, sports, homework help and fun project with children. I do children's laundry and child related household chores. I have worked for 3 years for the same wonderful family. The children were 1 month, 5 and 7 when I started working for them. I work every Tu-Thursday with this family. I'm kind, loving, positive, professional, creative and fun.
If you are interested in my nanny/chef services, please contact me at email@example.com or 503-830-0703. Tell me about your family, children and your needs. Thanks so much. Katie
