Greetings to all parents and guardians in Portland! I am a teacher who decided to provide childcare (more like a nanny-share) after having 2 adorable girls. They are 18 and 5 months old. I have a wide range of experience in education as an elementary and a toddler teacher. My qualifications include First Aid/CPR, Food Handlers, background check #, RRCAN and several other childcare trainings.
Currently, I am looking for 1 friend to join our group in December and 1 more in January at my home strategically located near MLK and Killingsworth with easy access to public transportation and I5. I keep my ratio low, maximum is 1:4. The ideal situation for me is to find a family with a child within the ages of 3 months to 2 years. This way, my daughters and your child(ren) can be friends. I am happy to take care your child(ren) from 2 to 4 days a week. The childcare is open from Tuesday-Friday at 8am-5pm. Extra hours, date nights and drop ins can be arranged. Occasional Mondays is open for further discussion.
Feel free to contact me (Nina) by phone at 503-804-4843 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org
I am a 29 year old nanny and artist. One of my part time childcare positions is ending and I am looking for another great family to begin working with during the second week in December. I will be available all day Thursdays, Wednesday mornings until 2:30pm, and may have some time on Tuesdays in the late afternoon. It is important to me to have a dependable schedule so a family in need of a minimum of 10 hours per week with little change expected in the foreseeable future would truly be ideal.

We are looking for a nanny for our daughter starting at the end of December. She’ll be six months old then. We need someone who will be able to work flexible hours and weekdays, though we will not need help before 6:30 am or after 8 pm. We also will rarely need someone more than 10 hours in a day. We know our schedule a month in advance so the days and hours could be arranged the month before. Although the schedule would vary, we can guarantee 15 hours weekly at 15 dollars an hour. Some weeks we will need more help than this.
If you are interested, please let me know and we’ll set up a time to meet and get to know each other.
Thanks, Amy and Andy
We are seeking a nanny share/ nanny starting mid-November for our son who will be 8 weeks old. We are looking to have 2-3 days of care from 8:30am to 5:00pm. We live in the Penisula neighborhood and would love to find someone to share a nanny with who is close by with a similar aged child.
Please call Laura or Brian at 503-758-8239 if you are interested in this arrangement or email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
I am a 22-year-old nanny who, after an office stint, is looking to get back to my childcare roots. I am looking to start in the next few weeks, and would prefer to give my current place of employment 2 weeks notice. In January I plan on returning to school part-time so I am looking for a family with a bit of flexibility in the future, but would give at least a month's notice before needing to change my work schedule.
Prior to my current job, I worked with toddlers and preschool-age children for three years in a Reggio center. I have also worked with infants in a Montessori school. Most recently I was a nanny for a year and a half for toddler twins. I tend to integrate several educational philosophies but we can, of course, work together on this. I am experienced with cloth diapers, potty training, infant sign language, and conversational Spanish. I also have some special needs experience. I'm more than happy to help clean up around the house and I love to cook. I have all certifications and paperwork in order (RCAAN, cpr/first-aid, criminal history registry, food handler's).
Do you need a couple days a week to yourself? Are you a work-from-home parent? Do you currently work Tuesdays and/or Thursdays? Are your current days flexible? We'd love to share a nanny with you!
We're looking for another family with an infant between the ages of 3 months and 7 months to share a nanny in our home on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 7:15ish and 4 or 5 pm. We live in the Richmond neighborhood in inner SE PDX.
If you are interested, please contact Annie at firstname.lastname@example.org or 541-231-9915. Thanks!
I have over 15 years experience with children in daycares, after school
programs, art based summer camps, and as an art teacher at a local Montessori
school. I’ve worked with children (from infancy to age 12) from a variety of
cultural backgrounds and family situations. I also have experience with twins
and some experience with special needs children. I’m a non-smoker and have no
Email me at email@example.com and I can provide you my resume and several references. I look forward to speaking with you and seeing if I might be the right match for your family.
We are looking for someone to care for our infant daughter (3 months) at our home in the Buckman neighborhood beginning in September. We need someone who is willing to work part-time from 9:00-3 (maybe earlier some days) on Thursdays and Fridays during the school year with occasional breaks (following the school calendar). The ideal nanny will have experience working with infants and have excellent references.
We would like to find someone who is loving and caring and will take time to interact with our daughter and give her plenty of opportunities to learn and explore as she grows. We use cloth diapers and our daughter is breastfed, so we'd love to work with someone who is experienced with this or willing to learn.
We are also open to a nanny share situation.
If you are interested, please contact us at 971-250-1356 or brittany.nielsen.watson at gmail.com.
Marti's Place, in the Alameda neighborhood in NE Portland, has a few openings in the fall for children ages 0-3! We offer certified, inclusive, in-home family care, specializing in infants and toddlers. Our ambition is to provide a safe and nurturing environment fostering individual growth through play and gentle guidance. We believe in a small ratio of children/adult within our intimate group.
We are open Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm.
Please check out our website at martisplace.org and email at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions or to schedule a tour.
I am a work at home mom with a very sweet, active, curious boy named Milo who is nearly a year old. I would love to babysit another child close in age to Milo so the kids can play and interact. At the same time, I would love a break during the day so I can get more work done. At this stage, I cannot really get anything done when he's awake so I might as well watch 2 or even 3 children, but get a full break on other days.
My home is peaceful and safe, with loads of toys, books and no tv. There is also a back yard. Food is organic and healthy. I believe in letting children explore and discover their world on their own, while keeping a close eye and making sure they are safe. I am also a warm, flexible, and present mother/caregiver.
If this sounds good to you, please contact me at email@example.com

We are seeking a part-time nanny 2-3 days a week starting at the end of September. We have two boys, a 3 year old and an 8 month old. We live in NE Portland. I am a substitute teacher, and want to make myself work on more of a consistent basis, so we have decided that hiring a nanny would be our best option. I will also potentially get a long term sub position starting in October, and if interested, there would be the possibility of working 4 days a week until winter break. Though that would be something we could discuss at a later date.
So, as I mentioned above, we are looking for 2-3 days a week. Depending on what school I am at decides the start time. I would either need a start time of 7:15 or 7:45, and an end time of either 3 or 3:15. Our oldest also attends preschool Monday and Wednesday mornings starting in September. It is about 1 ½ miles away from our house and is walkable on nice days, however, a car is preferred since it would be difficult to do weekly, especially with our 8 month old.
We are looking for someone who is energetic, caring, fun, and has some experience working with children. We are always doing art projects, baking, walking to the park, going to OMSI or the Zoo, or some other active thing, and that is what we would like to continue with the nanny who cares for our children.
We would also be open to a nanny share if you think it could work. If you think this might be a good fit for you, we’d love to get in touch! Please email or call if you have any questions or would like to talk!
We are looking for a nanny-share situation for our infant daughter starting in September or October. If you are a nanny who might be interested in working with us, or a family who might be interested in sharing a nanny with us, please let us know. Thank you!!

We are looking for a part-time nanny to work from 8-3:30 on Mondays and 8-5:15 on Tuesdays. It is possible that we will also need help Wednesday mornings from time to time. We are raising our 7 mo old son bilingually and would prefer a native Spanish speaker. We live close to a park and the library and would like someone who is willing to take our baby out and about in the stroller. We use cloth diapers and are working on early potty training, so we would like someone who is willing to learn and continue our routine. Most of our food comes from the garden, so you will have access to organic fruits, veggies and eggs! We would like a bit of light housework during naps, but we are most concerned about finding a caring nanny who loves babies. We are also very open to a nanny share.
Garden Home Daycare is a licensed and registered in-home daycare that has been in operation since 2007. I currently have FT (Monday thorough Friday only) openings for children of all ages. I am experienced with every age and stage, and have cared for over 20 newborns, and just as many toddler-Pre K kiddos. Teachers are welcome!
I hold a business license with the City of Portland, and have a Federal Tax ID # for your taxes or dependent care plans. I am up to date with my CPR, First Aid, background check, Food Handler's card, and continuing education requirements. I have excellent references. I am a kind, mature, responsible and trustworthy provider who loves caring for children. I am 40, and am a mother to two wonderful school-aged children. I love providing a safe, warm, nurturing, home-away-from-home environment to the little ones in my care.
Our wonderful nanny is looking for a new family. Our youngest son, Nicholas, was accepted into his older brother’s preschool from the wait list. This is great news, but also a mixed blessing, because we love our nanny and don’t want to let her go! So, we are on a mission to find a new perfect family for her.
Our nanny has been with us for the past 9 months, taking care of our two sons Aiden and Nicholas. When she started, Aiden was 2-1/2 and Nicholas was 9 months. She quickly discovered many ways to be useful to our family, and has only grown more helpful as the months pass.
I simply cannot recommend our nanny more highly. She is just about perfect, as far as I am concerned. Reliable, on time, and a calm and steady presence around the house. She is a natural with kids, and mine hit it off with her right away. She has extensive childcare experience and a background in arts education, and always comes up with healthy, educational, and fun things to do with the kids.
If you would like any additional information, please feel free to contact us and we will be glad to answer any questions – email@example.com. We will be sure to forward any information to her. She is flexible with her schedule and ready to start in September. She just moved to SE and would prefer a job in SE or close-in NE, but would consider other areas as well. We highly recommend her, and know that her new family will be very happy with her.
Available in September 2013

Hello, we are looking for a family who would like to share our nanny, beginning August 1st. We are located in Northeast Portland near NE 15th and Fremont. We have a 3-month old infant and would like to add another infant. Our nanny is wonderful with babies and came to us highly recommended by another family in the Irvington neighborhood; she has worked for them for several years. She speaks both Chinese and English and has many years of experience in childcare and as a teacher. We will host the childcare at our home. She works Monday-Friday and arrives at 8:00 a.m. (but can arrive earlier if needed) and works until 5:00 p.m. (but again, she can stay
longer if needed). A family looking for childcare for 30-40 hours per week is our preference.
For inquiries, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We will arrange to talk via phone first and then meet in person. Thanks!

There is a wonderful in-home child care downtown Lake Oswego that is open for part-time or full-time care. I have been taking my little one there for over a year, but we have since moved out of Lake Oswego. We have been commuting our toddler 30 minutes each way to continue care there, that is how much we appreciate and respect the day care provider, Catherine. She is a former teacher, and has been running her child care for several years. Catherine is reasonably priced, and is flexible, dependable, and reliable... All very important qualities. She cares for the children in her home, and involves them in a variety of activities, including gardening...which we really appreciate. She cares for infants as well as toddlers, and currently has openings for 6 weeks-5 years.
Catherine does not have internet so I am writing this post on her behalf. Below you will find her phone number. I also welcome any emails/questions that you may have for me. email@example.com

I am a 20 year-old female university student who is living in Portland for the summer. I am taking one class at PSU but other than that have a completely free and flexible schedule. I have extensive experience in childcare spanning the past 7 years. I have been both a full time and part time nanny, wilderness camp counselor, lifeguard, Au Pair, volunteer at a babies orphanage, tutor, ski instructor, and ski racing coach for children between the ages of 5 months and 15 years. I have also worked as a chef in the kitchen at the wilderness and am able to prepare all types of meals. I am willing to commute as long as the house is accessible via public transportation. Additionally, I have my drivers liscense in case the children need to be driven to and from activities, etc.
I am living in Portland with my friend Mallory who has similar nannying/camp experience. We are willing to engage in a nanny share with multiple families, taking care of a group of children in one place. We could go on excursions, play outdoors, etc. Both of us are Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certified.
I can provide references and more information if your family is interested. Please contact me:
I want to write a whole-hearted recommendation for the woman who has cared for our son for the past 2 years. At the end of this summer, he'll be moving on to pre-school (at age 3.9 yrs). Several other kids (all older) will be moving on, as well, and this will be leaving a few openings for 2 to 4 year olds.
Here's a little background about Debby Holland and her home: she's been doing this for almost 30 years. She cares for kids in her home, up to six children a day (two kids under two and four kids over two). The home is located in NE Portland/Beaumont Wilshire/Cully area.
Her home is modest, sweet, and totally fun for the kids. She swaps out books and toys regularly so there's always something new and exciting. She is incredibly thoughtful about how she works with each child, tailoring her efforts to their needs, if they have specific ones. The kids play outside for some period every day, even during winter. She provides breakfast, snack, lunch and afternoon snack. Food is healthful, fresh, and organic as often as possible. The kids will often bake with her, measuring, stirring, and then eating the finished product! Parents may provide their own food, if desired.
