 My name is Wendy and I have been working in the child care industry for the past 3.5 years, however, I have over 10 years experience caring for children, including raising a step son.  I have passed a National background check and Oregon's background check for child care workers. I am First Aid/CPR Certified and have obtained 400+ hours in Early Childhood Education. There for I am confident that I have the experience and the qualifications that you are seeking in a caregiver.

 Most of my experience is with wobblers and toddlers (1-3 year olds) as this is my favorite age group.  I do however; have experience with children of all ages. I have cared for children on a one-on-one basis and in a group setting.   I am a mature individual seeking a long term, part, or fulltime position.

 I am a very fun loving and active nanny.  I believe that children, especially babies, are learning and absorbing things all the time.  I enjoy fostering this learning and natural curiosity by stimulating them with fun and educational activities.   I also enjoy taking them on walks, setting up play dates, taking them to any classes that you might have them signed up in, and other age appropriate outings.

I am pet friendly, have experience with expressed milk and cloth diapers.   When the time comes I also have experience with potty-training.   I believe in little to no television, I make sure that all schedules are followed, I encourage verbal skills by talking and reading to the children, and I try to get out of the house once a day. 

I generally charge $12/hr for one, $14/hr for 2, and $15 for 3, but I am willing to negotiate to fit your budget.    My rate includes light housekeeping, generally centered on the children.

Experienced childcare provider looking for a family to work with. I would prefer a long-term, full-time (30-40 hours weekly) position but would consider part-time (15-25 hours minimum weekly) as well. I have multiple years of experience (total of 10 years childcare experience) working with children ages 0-8. Great families for you to contact that can attest to my ability to be on-time and engaging with children of any age.

I am well-versed in Montessori learning style as well as a bit of knowledge in attachment parenting. Comfortable with cloth diapers (assisting with diaper laundry and children's laundry as well) and feeding expressed milk as well. I'm flexible, easy-going and a great communicator. I am happy to provide a daily rundown of what we did, etc.

I'm cpr/first aid certified, have taken the RRCAN class, am in the process of completing my food handlers certification, and am enrolled in Oregon Criminal History Registry # (for working in a childcare center). Previously background checked through DHS for 3 years, open to having background check run as well as having two through reputable childcare sites (sittercity.com and care.com). Non-smoker, valid license/insurance and reliable vehicle for transportation (Plymoth Neon, seats 5 total).

Engaging and active; I do multiple activities with children from sensory play (shaving cream, paint, play dough, etc.) to arts and crafts with older children. Familiar with assisting in school-aged learning, assisting with writing/reading, spelling, abc's, 123's, colors, shapes, etc. Primary focus working with children ages 0-6.

I can and will take your children on outings if you would like, am able to assist with errand running/shopping if necessary as well as light household chores (dishes unloaded or loaded, light sweeping, child laundry/room cleanup, etc.). I love going to the park even if it's wet, and love to puddle jump!

Available for any weekly schedule, weekends as well.

We currently have openings for Toddlers (15 months - 36 months) and Primary children (3-6).

Montessori Children's House offers both  Toddler and Primary Montessori programs.  Located in Portland's newest neighborhood, the South Waterfront, we are still relatively 'undiscovered.'  

We have mixed-age groups -- a Toddler Community (for children 15 months - 36 months) and two Primary classes ranging from three years (or a bit younger) up through kindergarten age. In 2010-2011 we had one primary class; this year (2011-2012) we have expanded our program in order to run two Primary classes.   We are enrolling children now and do not yet have a waiting list.  Remaining spaces are limited, however, especially in the toddler community.

We even enrolled her in another one prior to Montessori Children's House only to pull her out because we were disappointed in our experience there. I wish that we had discovered this school sooner!     I am a Nanny that will be available in early January. I have letters of recommendation upon request and a resume as well. I have years of experience with children from my background being a counselor and a jr. counselor at YMCA day camp and week-long camps. I was a first year mentor at my university in Ashland, where I mentored and provided resources to first year college students. I am the mother of a 1 1/2 year old, and our wonderful nanny will now be available Monday-Thursday, all morning until 11:30am.

Hello!

I am 25 year old college graduate and freelance photographer/musican/artist/jewelry/ maker who loves children! Most of my childcare experience comes from working for friends and family and in my hometown Mankato, Minnesota and photographing children of all ages at a local Portrait studio in Portland.  My area of work allows me to have a very open schedule with a few photo gigs on the weekends. I am very flexable and am open to working anywhere from five to forty hours per week! I love to teach children about expression through art, reading, free play, music, dance, and even goofing-off! I am reliable, always on time, and enjoy cleaning, cooking, and enjoy engaging with children. I've held various positions that relate to childcare in one way or another, including; eco friendly house cleaning, planning and leading activities at an assisted living home, as a sales associate at a toy store, and cooking in a non-profit kitchen. My rate is $10/hr with $2 for each additional child,  and references are available upon request. I currently live in NE Portland and prefer to work in Portland. Hi! I'm a graduate student looking to nanny for a fun, loving, and wonderful family! I'm very personable, friendly and supportive, and am happy to work with children of any age.

I have a B.S. in Education and have experience directing teen leadership programs, teaching outdoor education and have facilitated/tutored at cooperative learning programs at the elementary school level throughout my undergrad. I love being active and would love to take the kids to do fun things around Portland, but am also content with creating our own adventures at home.

I have great references and am available mornings and most afternoons (my school schedule is pretty flexible - let me know what works for you and we can figure something out!). I'm looking to nanny between 10-20 hours/week.

Lotus Heart Preschool is a play based, Waldorf and Reggio Emilia inspired program.  We provide natural materials in a rich, nurturing environment.  Children have opportunities to work with a multitude of art materials, compose and act out stories, learn basic Spanish and Sign Language, explore light, shadow, and shape at the light table, have imaginative and dramatic play time, work in the garden, bake, and play at the park.  We sing, rhyme, share, do creative movement/yoga, and play cooperative games at our daily circle time.  We provide a daily tea time with organic snacks, children bring a lunch from home.  Our teacher, Brynn Anderson, has 16 years teaching experience in a variety of preschool settings.  Our program runs from 9-1 Monday-Friday for preschool age children 3 and up.

I am a 27 year old nanny and artist who recently relocated to Portland from Minneapolis. I am looking for one more family to work with who needs a MWF AM schedule- I would be available in the mornings anytime until approximately 1pm.

I have been a nanny/childcare provider full time since 2003, but have been relied on to babysit younger siblings, family members, and neighbors since the late 1990s. I have experience caring for children ages 0-13. I've worked in preschool and in-home childcare settings and was a live-in nanny for 2 years in Baltimore. I am comfortable caring for multiple children of same and varying ages including infants, toddlers, and school age children.

I am committed to providing a high level of care that promotes stability, trust, compassion, creativity, learning, respect, safety, and fun. It is important to me to maintain an environment that allows children freedom to explore the world around them in ways that nurture and encourage autonomy, self-confidence, respect for self and others, and question-asking (with thoughtful answers!)

I am very openminded and accommodating to most parenting styles and have experience with attachment parenting, cloth diapers, special dietary needs (especially food allergies and vegan/vegetarian diets), and homeschooling/unschooling/freeschooling. I also have experience caring for children with physical and other varying abilities and am trained in CPR and First Aid. It is important to me to have an open dialogue with parents and maintain existing routines and dynamics in the home.

I also have a very reliable and safe vehicle and am comfortable driving with children in the car.

My rates are semi-negotiable but generally fall around $12-15/hr (depending on number of children and other factors) and I would be happy to discuss this and provide a list of excellent references and resume to interested families.
