My just-about-to-turn-3-year-old has been at a home daycare all her life. I'm wanting to move her into something a little more stimulating and appropriate for a preschooler. What makes this challenging is that we will have an infant that needs care starting in January and I want them to go to the same place. I feel like I've exhausted all places in NE Portland (and the northern parts of SE Portland) that take both preschoolers and infants, and they are either too expensive or do not foresee having any openings. The places I've explored are In a Child's Path, ChildRoots, Little Footsteps and Jump for Joy. Does anyone have any other recommendations for three days a week that takes kids 3 months to 5 years on a year-round basis and might have some openings?

What price-range do you have in mind?

Hi, I'm an infant and toddler child care provider and I have colleagues who have preschools nearby. Sometimes caring for a specific age group is good; I understand your preference. You might consider finding two programs near each other or a center that cares for mixed ages or a nanny that comes to your home. Good Luck!

Hello,

I have been a child care provider for 14 years in SE (Mt Tabor area). I take infants to age 5 but I only do childcare on Mon and Thursdays. No screen time, outside play, lots of books, home made from scratch vegetarian meals.I am 53 years old and have two older sons of my own. Very happy to talk to you. Please call me at 503-231-4309.

thanks
