I was just offered a part-time job that I'd love to take. However,
there's that pesky issue of childcare, as our beloved part-time sitter
is having her own child soon, and won't be available for much longer.
The
job is very flexible, and I plan on starting out working 10-15 hours a
week. My ideal situation for now would be to work 1-1/2 or 2 full days a week,
depending on your availability. If you want just mornings or just
afternoons (or some combination) that could work out too!
We
have two easy-going, super friendly boys, age 2 and 4-3/4. The older
one is in preschool 4 mornings a week through early June, two
mornings a week starting in July, and full-day Kindergarten in the
fall. Depending on my schedule and carpool availability, it might be necessary to pick him up
from school on occasion. We have a large playroom full of
all their favorite toys (cars, trains, legos, blocks, games, toy
kitchen, art supplies, etc), tons of books that they adore having read
to them, and live close to several great parks and coffee shops. We
have memberships to OMSI, Zoo, Children's Museum, and the art museum,
though they're usually more than content to play here or in the
neighborhood.
Childcare provider must be reliable,
non-smoking, First Aid/CPR certified, have excellent references, a good driving record, and willing to submit to a background check. No
cleaning or housekeeping is expected, other than supervising/helping
the boys put away their toys and books after they're done with them.
Minimal cooking/food prep required, just simple lunches and snacks. We
do have one (mostly) indoor cat. Pay rate negotiable and based on
experience.
