June 19, 2012

This summer, 16 talented young artists will become filmmakers.  Working with industry pros and world class gear, they will make movies that change the world.

Registration is now open for Poject Youth Doc 2012 (PYD), and we couldn’t be more excited!  By turning the camera inward, teenage PYD participants explore issues important to their lives and the lives of other project members.  Each production team sees a project through from inception to premiere.  Past projects have focused on diverse topics such as the history of Native American Boarding Schools, flash mobs, deaf culture, and LGBTQ youth.  This year, in partnership with Mozilla (Firefox), we are adding training in cutting-edge, interactive media design utilizing technology only being offered to the a handful of  media arts programs around the country.

Space is extremely limited, so encourage the young people in your life to apply now to secure their spot!

No School Nov. 11th-13: All Day Educational & Fun Programs 1-6th grade (at Education Soaring SW Portland)

November 06, 2009

Education Soaring offers all day programs throughout the year on no school days, breaks, and a fantastic summer program.

**I highly recommend Education Soaring for motivated kids who want to engage in fun learning and meet new friends. My son attended their summer program and went skipping out of the house every day because he enjoyed going to their  summer camp. I personally liked that my son was learning new things, meeting kid's who also enjoyed learning, and that the program is lead by a woman who has 30 years of teaching experience (as well as 7+ years of experience with gifted kids).

Fuel their Imagination this Spring Break

March 27, 2009

Kids don't have to be sitting at a desk or even in a classCamp Inventionroom, to be learning. Much of what they learn is through their daily lives, whether they are at the park, talking with friends, or reading a book or magazine - kids learn through their experiences. This is why hands-on activities are so important during out-of-school time.

Camp Wiz Kids will gives kids an opportunity to learn and create with technology, while having FUN.  Each camp location will introduce a different set of concepts through hands-on activities that allow students to learn through their experience and develop inventions and productions that will wow their friends and family.  Whether it if a video game or a solar car, kids will gain confidence in themselves through projects they would never imagine they could create.

Ages:  5-12 (Grades K-6)
