At grandma's place Clark Family Center we're excited to keep your school aged kids entertained and busy all summer long!
We feature exciting field trips, volunteer opportunities, organic gardening and creative, constructive fun in our centrally located, media-free center! Plus, there's no need to commit to a month or even a week, your kindergarten through age 12 child can join us for a day, a week, a month or an entire summer of fun.

Spanish Immersion Summer Camps

Aprende con Amigos - located in North Portland on Interstate Avenue, two block north of Alberta, will be hosting Spanish Immersion Summer Camps for kids ages 3-7 beginning June 25th through August 17th.
The first four weeks of camp will be focused on "My 5 Senses" and the second four weeks will be focused on "Fairytales and Fables".
You may sign up for one week, two weeks, or as many weeks as you wish! We offer half-day and full-day options from 2 to 5 days per week. We are open from 8am to 5pm to better meet the needs of working families.

Deer Fern Summer Day Camp
Deer Fern is a 7-week long summer day camp located at the Portland Village School in North Portland. The camp’s mission is to instill a sense of community within our campers, to provide children with a variety of opportunities to be creative, and to have a lot of fun. We spend our mornings working on art projects, and our afternoons are typically spent playing: splashing in the water feature at Kenton Park, playing 4 square, having water fights, building with Legos, etc.

Don't worry about the summer blues with your children ages 4-10 years old! Creative Outlets 4 Kids has you covered! We have partnered up with The Children's Gym in NE Hollywood district to provide your children with fun and engaging day or week camps. We will be learning different dance moves, playing in the park, rock climbing at the Boulder Gym, doing Arts and Crafts and much more! The Children's Gym is a great place for us to also enjoy open gym time with qualified instructors. Don't worry, we have your child's summer covered!

Kids Community Summer Camp
Our 10 week day camp for kids going into Kindergarten through 8th grade begins June 20th and ends August 26th. Kids Community provides kids with a fun and unique summer camp experience at an affordable cost to families. Weekly sessions include:
Masks & Mutants, Off Broadway, Do It Yourself, Pump Up the Jam, Hood to Coast, Under the Big Top, Medeiveal Times, Up Up & Away, Seadogs & Scallywags, Epic Adventure.
Highlighted field trips and guest instructors include: Randy Emberlin - Spiderman Comic Illustrator, Portland Spirit River Cruise, Cannon Beach, Mt Hood, Enchanted Forest, Northwest Children's Theater, Circus Cascadia, OMSI & Kendall Planetarium and more!
Summer Art Camp at Rowanberry School
The summer program at Rowanberry School was designed to provide an unhurried,
child-centered alternative to traditional children's summer camps. The daily rhythm will
include circle games and songs, a focused art component, and a wholesome organic
snack. We will allow plenty of time for lemonade making and play in the garden and tree
house. Children will have the opportunity to share their work at the end of camp.
