Now Enrolling for Summer Program
Harmony Montessori School's Summer Program is filled with art, song, investigation and outdoor exploration. Our Montessori philosophy permeates the program with a tranquil atmosphere, which reflects the peaceful days of summer.
We have two program options available for the summer. The River Room for the younger children, 2.5 through 5 years of age and the Ocean Room for our older children ages 6-9 (with prior Montessori experience.)
We are located in SE Portland, just a few minutes east of the 205 freeway, between Division and Stark. Please see our website for schedule and enrollment details at Harmony Montessori or feel free to call us at 503-255-5337

With hands-on activities, stories, songs, and books gathered around central themes like Travel the World, Journey to the Sea, Explore Art, Harmony's Summer Program integrates Montessori philosophy with summertime charm, providing a enriching experience for the children. With cooking, gardening, picnic, nature walk, field trip and free play, there is something to satisfy the interest of every child. Having both my kids go through Harmony's Summer Program these past 4 years, I know they are actively engaged, soaking up not just the sun but the spirit of discovery and the joys of learning.

Do yourself a favor and enroll your child in Harmony! The teachers and staff sincerely care about the work they do and are true nurturers. If you're not familiar with the Montessori method, don't be intimidated; your kids will love it! My son is finishing his 3rd year - and 3rd summer here - and my 2.5 yr old will start in the fall. I couldn't imagine sending my kids anywhere else.

Harmony is the best decision I have made for my family. Both my kids have learned so much at this school, most of the Harmony kindergartners are great readers and have solid math skills, including some multiplication and division. Summer school is a wonderful, relaxed extension of the warm and loving atmosphere that expounds values important to me like independence, acceptance, kindness and environmentalism. My eldest LOVES returning for the alumni camp that has done an excellent job of maintaining that comfortable, safe feeling while exploring topics and interests that are suited for his development level. My youngest loves being outside most of the day and all the tactile activities. This is a wonderful school even if you only get to be there during the brief summer months.
