Having just live blogged with Jeff Merkley, hopeful candidate for Gordon Smith's U.S. Senate seat, I've got Senate on the brain, mamas. There's a lotta talk about local races these days (including our mayoral forum on family issues this Saturday!), but here's something different. Talk to an existing elected official. Yes, Sen. Ron Wyden (father to twin babies) is inviting all his Multnomah County constituents to chat this Sunday 4.20.08 at an open forum Town Hall meeting. That means no speeches, just you asking questions and getting answers. Hopefully good ones. Love that.
