Until tonight I confess that I saw little value in You Tube. Thought it was bored people boring other bored people with videos of their dogs, their kids, theirselves- yuck. Before we got DSL (a whole 2 months ago), it was a complete and utter mystery because video doesn't quite come through on dial-up. And as is often the case, ignorance and disdain are a natural pair. But I am here to tell you that I have seen the light - especially since we don't get cable and I haven't watched TV in like 20 years.
So where else could I catch Barack Obama live at a Moms Rising event back in September '06? And what better night to watch it than the night he wins the Iowa primary (with the most women voters, oh my!)? It's not that I haven't read about him, about his family, his kids, his approach, his persona, and - the biggie - his views on family policies. Oh I have, and I remain undecided between him and Hillary (not that Oregon's May primary actually gives me a say, mind you). But I think I'm going to spend some more time on You Tube, watching & listening. Wow, a picture is worth 1,000 words, and a You Tube clearly far more.
Check out Barack with the Moms Rising folks. Tell us what you think, and if you know of any other relevant You Tubes (the debates?). Now that I'm onto this thing (better late than never???), I'm ready for more.
