LOOKING FOR PART TIME NANNY IN NE PORTLAND BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 15TH.

My husband and I are looking for a nanny for our 8 month old daughter (she’s 4 mos. now) on Mondays, for the entire day, beginning September 15. We are located in the Beaumont/Alameda area and are open to sharing.

We require someone over 21 with experience with infants and toddlers.  Our goal is to find someone who is loving, nurturing, and energetic. Our girl loves being outside and we will need someone who enjoys staying active and walking.

Non-negotiable qualifications are certificates of completion in CPR and First Aid, has their own transportation, a non-smoker, passes a criminal / background check, and provides references to chat with.

Compensation: $12 an hour.

SE Childcare Swap!

Hi! I'm looking for a few other families to join our childcare swap. Our last swap was wonderful but just came to a close as one mama was traveling across town and it got to be a bit too much. So re-group we must!! We mamas have to come together to give each other a break! Of course the kids love it too.

So far, we have one lively girl who is two and one sweet boy who is almost two. We'd welcome kids ranging from infants to 4 year olds to add some variety to our lil gang. Ideally, we would have a total of four kids so that each mama could have one morning on and three mornings off.

The way we worked it before was each mama took the kids for 3 or 4 hours once a week. Each day the kids would get yummy snacks, do arts and crafts, go on walks, and so on while their mamas did yoga, shopped, breathed, meditated, showered, etc (sounds good, eh?) We all are typical pdx mamas- mostly organic but flexible.  Since summer is coming up, many of us will have visitors and weeks away, but lets try to make it work nonetheless! I have been doing childcare in my home for over ten years. If you are a stay at home mom or dad, I am here to help you have two or three mornings off. I will watch your child while you run errands/have coffee with a friend. I provide  healthy vegetarian lunches(cooked from scratch), we play, sing songs and read. Absolutely no screen time or battery operated toys. We play outside and try to use our imagination with twigs, dirt, ropes and other natural items. Indoors, we play with toys and read books. Part Time Nanny Needed for 11m old boy

My husband and I are looking for a part time nanny to care for our very good natured 11 month old son. We also have a 2 year old lab that would love some attention as well. We live in Sellwood right near the bridge.

Hours: Monday - Wednesday - 730a-530m (but would be able to be flexible / amenable to a 7-6 window) Start date: June 2nd.      

An ideal candidate will be over 21, have experience with infants & toddlers, great references, and is looking to make a commitment to our family.   Our goal is to find someone who enjoys staying active, will take walks to  / and play at our many area parks, and would be willing to participate in community center programs or classes.  We are also looking for someone who can provide some light household help (nothing major, we have a fabulous cleaning person).

Loving, Experienced Nanny Needed -- SE PDX

Wonderful Nanny Needed!

My husband and I are looking for a full-time nanny to provide in-home care for our daughters in the Sunnyside neighborhood in SE Portland

, starting the second week of June. We have two daughters, 5 months and 3 years. The job would be Monday thru Thursday 8:30 – 5:00ish.

During the summer months, you will have both girls during the day. Starting in the fall, you will be mostly with the younger one, as the older starts her school.

We’re a non-smoking house. We have a big, friendly dog and a cat. Our home is very near Sunnyside park and Laurelhurst park.

The ideal person will be over 21, have experience with infants and toddlers (and the joys and struggle that come with both!), great references, and is looking to make a commitment to our family.   We want to find someone who enjoys being active, will spend time reading, doing art projects, going on outings, playdates, and other activities for the girls.

We are also looking for someone who will prepare lunches for the girls and  provide some light household help (nothing major, just helping with the daily clutter that comes with children!).

We ask that you are, or obtain, certificate of completion in CPR. You need to be able to drive (but do not need your own car).

Compensation: $10 an hour when one child/$12 an hour when two.

Opinions about Alameda Montessori?

We recently toured the Alameda Montessori program and it seemed good.  We are on the waitlist at Fruit and Flower in the NW area as well for our twin 20month old boys.  Would anyone have any opinions about the Alameda Montessori program? I am leaning towards that one because it allows half days, versus Fruit and Flower, which is full time only.

Open Minds Preschool new afternoon session

Open Minds Preschool on NE 19th Ave near Fremont is considering adding a new afternoon preschool session in September if there is enough interest. The program would be:

• Mondays and Wednesdays from 1:30 to 4:00 pm
• Limited to six 3 year olds (three boys and three girls) 
• Led by our resident teacher, Jenna, with a parent helper most days
• Similar to our morning program in content, but without lunch (we'd include an organic, vegetarian snack)
• $120 per month, plus a monthly parent helping day (siblings welcome)

Nanny available for nanny share in/around Tigard

I have the most amazing nanny!  Looking for someone with 1 child who is interested in sharing a nanny in or around Tigard.  My daughter is 7 months old.  Lori is 26, been working professionally with children since 18 years old, and is truly fantastic with kids.

Her hours are Mon-Thurs 8:30-5:30 PM (might be able to alter depending on your needs).  I would need to find someone who would need the same hours (or at least a good portion of them) and wouldn't mind having their child at my house in Tigard (that is flexible too as long as your house isn't further away from the Belmont area).
